The owners - Mal and Nathalie are such wonderful people and made our stay so enjoyable! They are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to get to know all of their guests. Great bar vibe with all the locals and passersby with good music or your choice of sports channel. The hotel overlooks the ocean which is absolutely incredible to...

Did not book for the restaurant but still given a table order taken then no meal foth coming. Meanwhile others had been seated after us and where already eating! When enquired as to the problem where told that those who had booked a table would be served first! So after 40 mins our order still had not gone into the kitchen!...

Lovely old heritage hotel with a welcoming dining room. We stayed elsewhere choosing to dine one night, ending up delighted! Menu specials of Thai chicken and stir fried chicken were generous and tasty. A real change from the usual pub food, and better than any of the dining experiences we had in Esperance !

Typical Australian pub food. Good service and large helpings. Tablecloths in dining room. Pleasant view to the sea. Bit dated decor and much could be done to improve it. Interesting old photos of Hopetoun's historic past. Note hotels in Australia are often just pubs!

We have had a wonderful holiday in this family run hotel. Very clean accommodation. All the bedrooms overlook the stunning Southern Ocean. Bonus views to the ocean from the public bar, Cafe. The quality of food and generous servings is a nice change as the pricing is also very fair. The staff are very accommodating. Worth the drive to this...

I do not recommend ANYONE to eat here until they have a chef that can cook. We were very disappointed and so was everyone else who ate here on the evening we went. We waited a long time and the food was cold when brought to us. The Steak sauce was terrible.

We did not stay here but had a very good fishNd chip meal. We understand that these premises are under new ownership and from what we saw, and ate, things are on the up here. The fish and chips were both very well cooked, piping hot and not greasy. In fact the portion was so large we could just about...

Popped in for lunch Jan 11 2016. Burger was not warm enough to melt the cheese and it was drenched in sweet bbq sauce as was the BLT. No mention of sauces in the menu. Staff apathetic - we were charged 100% of the bill and left. Very disappointing.

“The apartment is the only choice that has ensuite, but all the other rooms have clean showers and toilets very close to the rooms. The rooms along the front have the views but all the rooms have easy access to the big upstairs deck that looks out over the ocean.”
