Driving there feels like traveling to the end of the world, crossing devastated, vast cattle plains, two hours on a gravel road and not one other car to be seen... but then you end up in paradise. The shady campground provides privacy and beautiful trees worth looking at. The amenities are clean and nice, there are hot showers and flush... More

About 2 hours drive off the Gibb river road in the Kimberleys , There is a radio booth at the turn off make sure your contact the Mornington camp to see if they have room before you drive the 88km in. Once there camping is along Annie creek with gas BBQ no fires allowed . There is a cost of... More

This is called 'glamping' (i.e. self contained, permanent big tents). A wonderful experience for us. The staff are conservationists and very enthusiastic over this site. Loved our stay. Excellent evening talk and walk around Annie River was a great experience

Not set up for wheelchair accessibility but toilets and showers are do-able (ask for a plastic chair at reception). Would be wonderful to see an upgrade to accessibility next time we visit..! Friendly staff and welcoming environment. Super quiet and peaceful at night times; lots of space between the unallocated sites. This was a favourite spot on the Gibb River... More

We stayed at a safari tent ,which is large, comfortable and very private. Service was good. Meals inc. breakfast, packed lunch and dinner were quality and delicious. All tents are right on Annie's creek. 80 kms (2 hours drive) off the main road , but its a great road with beautiful views. Great spot to stay as part of the... More

We stayed in the "Glamping" area - with lovely permanent tents with an ensuite bathroom. Clean, spacious and with its own deck overlooking the creek. You have tea/ coffee facilities in your room , a comfy bed and we really felt very comfy there!. The camping ground down the road looked gorgeous though though and the facilities there looked clean... More

My wife and I stayed at Mornington for 3 nights in June 2015 with five other couples. It was absolutely fantastic. The camping area beside a small creek was perfect for our camper trailer and the ablutions were excellent, especially considering the remote location. The service by the staff was first class and the prices for food and drinks are... More

Despite the nail biting suspense preceding our arrival at the Mornington radio booth (we arrived around 7.40), luckily there were still camping spots available and we spent two nights here. After many dusty roads we decided to opt for a spot of luxury and booked a sunset tour as well as dinner for the first night. The tour guide was... More

The inability to book a camping spot is unusual, and disadvantages families and locals. Despite calling a number of times, they will not accept bookings except from 7am at their radio on the side of the Gibb River Road. And as the numbers of campers is strictly limited (preference is given to the Glampers in the 'Safari Tents' and to... More

We camped here for 2 nights - 3 families, and loved every minute of it. Great campsite, plenty of hot water which was a real bonus, and to top it off a wonderful restaurant - service somewhat slow but tasty food. Really enjoyed the canoing. We all had an amazing time. We feel privileged to have seen this stunning part... More
