Not set up for wheelchair accessibility but toilets and showers are do-able (ask for a plastic chair at reception). Would be wonderful to see an upgrade to accessibility next time we visit..! Friendly staff and welcoming environment. Super quiet and peaceful at night times; lots of space between the unallocated sites. This was a favourite spot on the Gibb River... More

We stayed at a safari tent ,which is large, comfortable and very private. Service was good. Meals inc. breakfast, packed lunch and dinner were quality and delicious. All tents are right on Annie's creek. 80 kms (2 hours drive) off the main road , but its a great road with beautiful views. Great spot to stay as part of the... More

We stayed in the "Glamping" area - with lovely permanent tents with an ensuite bathroom. Clean, spacious and with its own deck overlooking the creek. You have tea/ coffee facilities in your room , a comfy bed and we really felt very comfy there!. The camping ground down the road looked gorgeous though though and the facilities there looked clean... More

My wife and I stayed at Mornington for 3 nights in June 2015 with five other couples. It was absolutely fantastic. The camping area beside a small creek was perfect for our camper trailer and the ablutions were excellent, especially considering the remote location. The service by the staff was first class and the prices for food and drinks are... More

Despite the nail biting suspense preceding our arrival at the Mornington radio booth (we arrived around 7.40), luckily there were still camping spots available and we spent two nights here. After many dusty roads we decided to opt for a spot of luxury and booked a sunset tour as well as dinner for the first night. The tour guide was... More

The inability to book a camping spot is unusual, and disadvantages families and locals. Despite calling a number of times, they will not accept bookings except from 7am at their radio on the side of the Gibb River Road. And as the numbers of campers is strictly limited (preference is given to the Glampers in the 'Safari Tents' and to... More

We camped here for 2 nights - 3 families, and loved every minute of it. Great campsite, plenty of hot water which was a real bonus, and to top it off a wonderful restaurant - service somewhat slow but tasty food. Really enjoyed the canoing. We all had an amazing time. We feel privileged to have seen this stunning part... More

We arrived early at the front gate and radioed the reception to check availability. And we were in!! Great, now for the 90 kilometre drive to the camp (which was very smooth). We camped and the facilities are great but we also dined at the restaurant (6 star performance given the remote location). The gorges and canoeing and staff and... More

Everything about Mornington is right. The safari style tents are shaded and have everything you need. Dining scores maximum points for the quality of the food and also the ambience. It is a shame that other camps run by APT and Emma Gorge come a very poor second.

We stayed in their tented accommodation. Well set up and very comfortable. Frogs like it there too :) I was thrilled to see an olive python. Such a pretty little thing. We were very well fed and well looked after. Nearby water hole great place for a dip and canoe. Paddles and life jackets available from Reception. Staff here lovely.... More
