Our family enjoyed accommodations at this Inn. It’s an historical building restored to a quaint 6 room B&B. The rooms are perfect for a couple and for families. We booked it as it was only a 30 minute trip from Chimney Rock Mountain state Park. Donna who was so sweet and a great cook!! Attached are pictures of our room. This room had a King bed and a loft upstairs, single beds. It’s a ladder to the lofts.

My wife and I were in town for a bike tour. We chose The Firehouse for three nights based on reviews, and it lived up to the hype. We chose to stay in room #1. Despite the creaking wooden floors, the room was perfect with a large walk in shower, whirlpool tub and a very comfy bed. The quirkiness of the “walk-in vault closet” added to the charm. Best of all was breakfast served to all the guests at 8:30 sharp by Donna. She is such a lovely lady that made a unique and delicious breakfast from scratch each morning. They were the best breakfasts I’ve ever had from a hotel/inn. I highly recommend The Firehouse Inn.

The Firehouse Inn was just lovely. An historic building that was decorated beautifully. Inn Keeper Kitty is a treasure. She knows the history of her Inn, Rutherfordton as well as surrounding areas. I enjoyed my stay & will return.

Stayed at the Firehouse for 2 nights on the recommendation of friends. What a wonderful stay in an amazing historical building. The owner Ms. Kitty was a one man gang this week as her staff were all on vacation. She didn't miss a thing. The event we were attending there went off without a hitch with every detail covered. This B&B is perfectly appointed and every room has it's own story about the town and it's history. We plan to stay there again and recommend anyone give it a try, it's amazing!
