This quaint house in a quiet location in the centre of Tanunda suited a family of 5 perfectly. It did take a little while to heat up but the Barossa Valley turned on a cold snap. There were a/c in most rooms and heaters in the large bathroom. We loved the ambience, old furniture and newspaper wall articles of historic value. The highlight was the last night we sat around the open fire on cosy furniture.
My mother and I recently spent 3 nights at Memory Lane, it’s a great cottage with everything you need, nice and clean, close proximity to the main street, restaurants, cafes, but also peaceful and quite.
My husband and I were very pleased with this accommodation. It has all the comforts of home and very clean. It is in walking distance to the main street where you can find restaurants, hotels and shops. The cottage was much bigger than we thought and can easily accommodate seven people (3 bedrooms consisting of two queen beds and three singles). The cottage has a stairway where two bedrooms are located. It has a fantastic bathroom with a spa and separate shower. The kitchen/dining area has a stove and oven and is quite large. The days we were in Barossa were quite cool, and the open fireplace was very inviting since we are from North Queensland. This place was very comfortable to come home to after a day of visiting cellar doors to sip wine in front of the fire. This accommodation shares the grounds with another cottage "Treasured Memories". However, this was no problem at all as the cottages are quite separate and we never saw or heard the other people staying there. Treasured Memories is at the front of the property, while Memory Lane is set further back.…
We enjoyed our stay at the cottages. Very comfortable, three bedrooms close to all restaurants, pubs, bakeries and shops within the Barossa Valley. We were three ladies on a girls weekend away. Had all the facilities, quiet, easy to find and lots of parking. Nice comfy couches and big TV. The only issue, is that there is only one big bathroom downstairs. No toilet or bathroom upstairs, which makes it awkward for people using the two bedrooms upstairs. There is also a small musty odour, when u open the front door, but seems to go, once you are in the house for a while. One tip: more soap to be supplied. Overall, nice place to stay if you are touring the Barossa Valley.
My wife and I just spent a lovely weekend in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. We booked through an on line booking agency and really didnt know exactly what we were getting. We arrived in Tanunda as arranged and went to the office in the main street to checkin. All very efficent and smoothly done, we were given instructions and a code for the key safe and then we headed for our cottage. Memory Lane is the cottage we had for our weekend. its behind another cottage called Treasured memories. on a hammerhead block. We arrived, retrieved the key and opened the door ......... we were surprised it was all we had hoped for and more. Lounge with 2 sofas, large screen TV and wood open fire. This opens into a large Kitchen dining room which is well furnished and equiped, (although there is no dishwasher). Off the Kitchen is a hallway leading to Main Bedroom, Toilet and bathroom which is large and contains a shower and Spa bath. Stairs lead to 2 upstairs bedrooms, one contains a double bed the other 4 singles. The cottage is lovely and romantic, its ideal for a couple to getaway but also suitable for family use. It sleeps between 2 and 8 people. Downside is it only has 1 toilet and 1 bathroom.…
