What a joke. South Australia is supposed to have great seafood, well this was crap. My partner ordered the Salt & Pepper Combo (prawns and calamari). I had the Ocean Catch (salt & pepper prawns and calamari; battered fish; scallops). Both dishes pure rubbish. Prawns is a joke, these were small (3-4 cm max) bits of rubber with a slight... More

We needed somewhere to eat in Tanunda on a suddenly cold night. This looked like an obvious choice. A quick peep in the window showed no one else in the dining room but we gave it a go. The usual sort of choices, a pleasant historic setting. I could have done without the TV but then I could always do... More

We were told that the rooms in the old hotel building were above the bar and could get a bit noisy at night, but how bad could it be? It was right in the centre of town. We booked two nights. We were made welcome in late afternoon. The service was friendly and excellent. Our room was large, carpeted and... More

Unfortunately the food was very ordinary, my steak came out blue and it was albino when I ordered it med-rare. Chips were bland and squidgy. My partner ordered the burger and it reassembled a cheap fish n chip shop burger. Pre made patty was lack luster. The service was like a ghost town, but when we were served it was... More

The pub may be a little drab but the rooms are separate and new. Because separate quiet and modern. The pub is ok but needs a refit but rooms are great. Make sure you book one of the new rooms. The pubs front bar is pretty local if you like a game of pool and beer good spot.

Awesome meals and worth the price. Very friendly service and also very quick. Great beer garden to sit and enjoy the meal on a gorgeous day. Convenient with having a bar also outside as well as inside.

With fire sweeping through the Barossa and the power totally out, we had to vacate our room and leave town. The TH staff were totally accommodating and refunded me the full amount I had paid. This would have been my 3rd visit to the TH and I keep going back because its so well priced, clean and comfortable. Yes it... More

Very clean room, walking distance to restaurants & everything you need in town. We really enjoyed the huge spa after a long day visiting wineries. The room with the balcony was the best, it was lovely to sit outside in the warm weather. We will stay here again when visiting the Barossa Valley.
