We stopped in the Post Office Residence which is a well presented three bedroom apartment with modern appliances. What I did not realise until I arrived that it is located on two levels, with one bedroom, the laundry and Bathroom/toilet on the ground floor and the other two bedrooms, kitchen and lounge on the first floor. Due to health problems...

We were aware of this property from a brochure and made a point of staying during a recent holiday road-trip. It met our expectations and more. Quality fittings and furnishings throughout this tastefully restored property. We stayed in the Police Station apartment. Two bedrooms upstairs ( be prepared to negotiate the stairs for night time loo visits!) and beautiful kitchen,...

I might say that there are not many options for accommodation between Portland and Mt Gambier and this is a small detour before Mt Gambier, but well worth it. It is expensive though. Port MacDonnell is a small fishing town with a long jetty, a pub that does good food and cold beer and of course famous for lobster. We...

I really enjoyed my stay here and found the facilities exceptional. While the wifi didn't work in the apartment the library next door had free wifi. Breakfast provisions generous and kitchen well equipped.

While Port Macdonnell may not be the most obvious stop over on the drive from Melbourne to Adelaide, it's worth it just for a night at The Customs House. We stayed in the luxurious policeman's residence where every need is catered for, from board games to beach towels and everything in between. Our fridge was stocked with plenty of supplies...
