Martindale Hall is about to be lost as a South Australian Icon according to my inside information. This beautiful Georgian style mansion just outside Clare was built back in 1880 and gives you a peek at how those with a few coin lived back then. This is an amazing place to visit. The grounds are spectacular and beautiful. When entering the Hall it is in stunning original condition. Every room is filled with gorgeous antiques, and features. I highly recommend a visit here.

On a day trip from Adelaide to the Clare Valley we stopped here for about an hour. The gardens are nothing special but the $12 entry per adult is worth it. The 2 storey mansion is beautifully maintained and gives a unique insight into life for the wealthy in the late 1800's. Unless you are planning to visit the house... More

Wow, what a fantastic place to visit. Martindale Hall is full of history, beautiful furniture, paintings etc. A step back in time - worth every minute. A few years ago I was lucky enough to stay over night in the Hall. Great breakfast and wonderful company. One visitor made his / her presence known by moving objects in our room.... More

This is a beautiful home built in the late 1800. There's an admission fee of $12 but if you visit the maze you have a $2 discount. The entrance is superb, you are welcomed at the door & given a fact sheet about the house. You can browse around at your own leisure, a couple of rooms are cordoned off... More

If you love old homes/mansions then you must visit Martindale Hall. Step back in time and experience the amazing furniture, wallpapers and history here. It's just out of the gorgeous heritage town of Mintaro which is also a must see whilst you're in the Clare valley.

Great old Home. very interesting and stately too. Only $10 to enter but well worth that. Takes about an hour to so do the whole house and read about it as well.Staff have a good knowledge of the Home and are willing to answer questions asked.

Absolutely beautiful homestead in the Clare Valley. Heaps of interesting information, and the various rooms are set up and decorated as they would've been when it was inhabited as a country manor. My wife and I loved exploring it, would highly recommend to anyone visiting anywhere around the Clare Valley region.
