Lyndoch Hill is a motel. A large number of people who have reviewed Lyndoch Hill seem to be confusing it with boutique accomodation or a hotel. I was horrifed when I read the reviews and realised we were booked in for 2 nights but I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes it's dated but there is nothing really wrong with the... More

Don't have high expectations of this hotel as you will be very disappointed. The bathroom is very old fashioned with no water pressure in the shower and the curtains are useless as the whole room was bright at 7am. It is not in a great location either as we did lots of travelling to visit wineries and restaurants. I would... More

We booked the Rose garden view room on the net, So pre booked pre paid, no refund, we can see why they make that statement. The photo of the room shown looked very nice. Pity the room was nothing like the photo, the thread bare stained carpet, out of date fittings and fixtures. The couch must have come from the... More

Judging by the photos on here, and the impressive entrance you are led to believe you are in for something special at Lyndoch Hill, but unfortunately that feeling doesn't last long when you turn the corner and are greeted with what looks like a 1970s motel. The rooms aren't bad by any means - a new coat of paint and... More

We saw the web site and booked the room based on that unfortunately the real life experience had no relation to the hype. The room was poor. The bathroom worse. In no way did the accommodation match what was expected from reading the advertising. Don't book lyndoch hill thinking it's a chateau, at best it is a dodgy motel. There... More

We own our own business and wanted a few days R&R prior to our Christmas rush. The rooms are OK nothing special, needs a lot of work but i guess now that it has new owners that have said that they will refurbish then I have they do it sooner rather than later. Good size room, Air con works well,... More

I booked into this venue thinking I'd treat myself to a nice relaxing night away after attending a function in Gawler. As soon as I drove down the impressive entrance and turned towards reception my heart sunk. Basically this hotel is a number of bessa-brick rooms side by side in the shape of a horse-shoe. Built in the seventies and... More

Although this is a charming area in the Barossa Valley, and the rooms are well serviced and well equipped, though a bit dated, we were expecting to spend a few days enjoying the 10,000 roses advertised in the brochure package...instead, due to a heatwave the week before, the roses were dead looking and the garden looked scrappy. The pool was... More

We did not stay in the hotel, we only are in the restaurant. It is located in lovely rose garden. Restaurant is in one big room with upstairs. Decoration was very poor and cheap looking giving no atmosphere. The only good thing about this restaurant was it staff. Service was good, but that about it. Very pricey and that did... More

Very dated place. We stayed in a 3 bedroom house.clean but bathroom very old, toilet leaking. Not inspired by mousetraps and rat poison in cupboards. Beautiful rise gardens do however make up for a facility that needs a facelift. Great platter at the chateau also made things a little better
