Very comfortable and convenient place to stay for a weekend of walking the Heysen Trail. Nice continental breakfast provided and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly hosts. Kapunda has nice pubs with character and nice meals and a supermarket open long hours

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. Colin and Anne have outdone themselves in keeping the history of the Station. There are books to read about Kapunda, the station & Colin himself can give you details about the history of the station. The breakfast was amazing, ranging from cereals, toast, yoghurts, two fruits, coffee, tea & juices a...

Beautiful old station with so much history very spacious rooms, with our room looking on to the old platform. A very nice breakfast was set up for us each morning which was a good start to the day. Colin being a local gave us tips on which wineries to go too( we liked the small wineries that were recomended) and...

It was a beautiful experience although my Special One Had Tanunda In Mind When He booked and realized the mistake when we got there! The Warmth and Hospitality of Our Host Colin and His enthusiasm in describing Pertinent Historical Aspects Of the Place which used to be the Railway in by gone years and the History of the Oldest Mining...

Thank you for your review, but we remember we are definitely Kapunda. We have had other travellers get confused between Kapunda & Tanunda and none have regretted the mistake. We Kapundarites are proud of our history, love to see you back one day.

This is the 5th year running that I have stayed here. The hosts are so welcoming, helpful and gracious. I'm not a cereal person so coffee, fruit juice and toast is what I'm content with usually, however when I feel like a big cooked breakfast the option is there for a reasonable fee. Even if I wanted to sightsee a...

We selected Kapunda Station B & B for our four night stay in the Barossa region because it was in the centre and only a short drive to Tanunda and Nuriootpa where beautiful restaurants abound. Friendly and Generous hosts made us most welcome. We didn't realise that Kapunda was a most historic town and our first copper mine was located...

The station has a lot of history and the current owners are only too happy to share it with you. It's located only a few minutes walk from the main street of Kapunda and about 20mins drive from the wineries of the Barossa Valley. We stayed two nights at Kapunda Station B&B in the old kiosk room. The doors are...

We booked this B&B last minute for its proximity to the Barossa Valley. Little did we know Kapunda had a rich history of its own. Our room was large and perfectly presented. The shared bathroom facilities were immaculate and the breakfast was just what we needed before our days in the Barossa. As wonderful as the accommodation and surrounding area...

“All the rooms are great - the double rooms are economical to stay in if there are 2 or three people and they both have privacy as the walls are thick and the adjoining door can be shut. All the rooms are quiet because its on a quiet street and this old building keeps very cool during the hot summer days.”
