The complex looked better than what it delivered. The gardens are very nice (heaps of roses) and the carparking was very good. It is well situated for doing the 'walk through the vineyards' and having lunch at Fodder Cafe. But the rooms themselves are basic, the bed was not comfortable and all fittings are tired. There were not many there when we stayed but I suspect that it would be noisy during busy periods because the buildings seem to be in four sided square configuration with the garden area in the middle. In the centre of the garden is big BBQ for general use. On the night we stayed, a mob was celebrating a birthday and it was pretty noisy. Thankfully, the party stopped before 11:00pm. It was ok for our two night stay.

We stayed here for one night so we could do the Coonawarra walking trail of 5 cellar doors nearby. Arrived earlier than check in time and our room wasn’t ready but the staff were very kind to allow us into our room to put our cold bits and bobs into the fridge so they didn’t sit in the car all day. Stayed in a King Suite which had two bedrooms – the room was dated but very clean and with good quality linen and towels. Would stay again as its right on the trail walk and the restaurant next door is handy for dinner as there aren't many dinner options around that we could find. Came with plenty of breakfast provisions as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back so you are away from the highway and overlooking the vineyards.

The unit was a little tired. It was spacious, clean. Could have done with an extra face washer as there were two of us. The breakfast goodies were excellent. The gardens were beautiful & very pleasant to stroll threw. Overall it was a lovely place to stay & we would go back

Large room with plenty of space outside for kids to run around. Fridge, microwave, basic breakfast provisions included. Small bathroom with shower. TV, aircon, free wifi, parking. Friendly and helpful reception. Connecting rooms available. Only drawback was that the (separately-owned) onsite restaurant had decided not to open for evening meal (website said it opened Sundays, but obviously not this one), but a pub in town 10 minutes away did an excellent Thai beef salad. This is a good location for exploring the vineyards, and a decent stopover if touring.

The owners were real accommodating in regards to suggestions for dinner and extensive driving directions. The gentleman even gave us a map because we were having trouble with our GPS. He explained in detail the route we wanted to take. He gave us about 15 minutes of his time to explain everything. The grounds are nice and they have a washer & dryer for guests to use if needed. We had no complaints with the room or breakfast supplied in the fridge. The great wineries are right nearby. We loved the Wynn Winery.
