I went in earlier in the day and rather liked the look of their menu. It's a pity the meal I had didn't live up to how good it sounded. I ordered the beer battered barramundi and unfortunately it was soaked in oil, forcing me to peel off the batter. To top that off, chef had put the 2 pieces...

Great service by the friendly staff. The meal was one of the best value meals I have had for a long time. I had a veal schnitzel which was tender and thick while my wife had beer battered barramundi. I struggled to finish mine while the wife could not get the through her meal. Great wine list. If you sit...

room 3 needs some work. A nice touch was the decanter of Port in the room to enjoy, which we did. Fan only had 2 settings because the knob was broken: super fast speed that we worried it might fly off- or off. The split system aircon did not work. The bed was like a plank of wood. the bathroom...

Stopped in for a shared light lunch. We chose 2 starters and a garlic bread. The chicken quesadillas and the pork dumplings. Both dishes were great. The dumplings were on a bed of wilted red cabbage which seemed to be pickled and whist being lovely, was slightly too salty. The young lady that served us was delightful and most helpful. Thank...

We dropped in for lunch on the weekend and were welcomed by the friendly staff who found us seating in the front dining room. Food was excellent and not over complicated or over-served (less is more). I had a fantastic pork belly curry. Others had burgers. The atmosphere is excellent with the pub holding it's original charm with all original,...

Delicious meals as always. We had no idea that the pub had changed hands until hearing about it at a cellar door after lunch. The food was of the same high quality we had experienced under the previous owners. The BnB is exceptionally good value. To be clear - the criticisms I've seen in previous reviews are accurate. The room...

Thank-you Mick, Ally and staff for a great evening of wining and dining. My wife and I dined at The Rising Sun Hotel in late December 2016 and enjoyed our meal very much. We chose a local red wine which was a perfect accompaniment to our food. The dining room is small but friendly with beautiful inlaid stucco designed type...

I have been eating at The rising Sun hotel for a number of years, I took my new partner there a couple of weeks ago and we had the most enjoyable meal in a relaxed friendly environment... food was fresh, well presented and full of flavour. The new owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I...

We've been big fans of the Rising Sun Hotel for a number of years, however tonight's dinner was truely awful. Lettuce in salads was slimy, black & obviously not edible, service was well below average. We had to ask for an ice bucket for our bottle of wine. We ate very little of our meals & won't eat there again....

Couldn't work out where to eat so stopped by and was not disappointed. Excellent menu for lunch and dinner. Has a tapas menu as well. Got a few things off the tapas menu and was surprised a country pub did such a good job. Wot a bottle of local rose and spend way to long watching the world go by.
