We stayed two days to explore the Barossa. The attention to detail is amazing from home made bread, fudge, wine, breakfast ingredients etc all of top quality. Walking distance to Angaston Main Street. Walnut Cottage brings you back to the era of the area but has been beautifully restored. Quiet street. Free wi fi. Lovely cottage garden.

We stayed 2 nights mid week in this lovely old cottage with our 2 boys and would love to have stayed longer. It is beautifully presented, with lovely welcoming touches like fresh flowers, home made bread and slices, chocolates on the beds (Milky Ways for the kids!), pancake mix, and fresh fruits. We loved nestling up in front of the... More

Walnut cottage is an immaculately presented B&B in Angaston in the heart of the Barossa. Sue has made this place a haven for people wanting an intimate escape to this premier wine region. The cottage is a very old, and beautifully maintained building from another era. It boasts a large fireplace, claw-foot bath, and is in easy walking to all... More

Fridge stocked with breakfast provisions, home baked bread, marmalade, chocolates, port, bottle of lovely 10 yr.old red wine. Forgot to mention home made slice. Well done Sue and... More

We had a three night stay here, and saw in the New Year at Walnut Cottage. Attention to detail is superb, it's like stepping back in time. I love an authentic and vintage B&B and this certainly didn't disappoint. Lots of goodies left for us, from a vast supply of breakfast supplies, homemade bread, cookies, fudge and a bottle of... We felt a bit like in Cornwall: The stone walls, the flowers in the garden, the furniture. We absolutely loved it! It was also very clean and tidy and the kitchen contained everything needed for preparing breakfast including fresh bread, cereals, fruit and lots more in the fridge. There was even a bottle of local wine waiting for us.

Great place to stay. Lots of attention to detail and thought put into supplying just the right sort of things to make your stay comfortable. Great breakfast provisions - ample amounts and variety. We really enjoyed the cottage in a quiet street but quick walk down to the main Street. Highly recommended.

We spent three nights here during a recent visit to the Barossa, and could not have been happier with Walnut Cottage! Sue had thought of everything; fresh posies in every room, delicious fudge, a lovely bottle of wine (and quality stemware), fresh herbs and generous breakfast provisions. Oh, and I ought to mention a superb loaf of house-made bread! We... More

My husband and I stayed here with a friend who was visiting from overseas. Quite simply we all had a wonderful time and cannot fault Walnut Cottage. The cottage has character and charm along with being very comfortable and clean. Our stay coincided with one of South Australia's heat waves but we stayed very comfortable within the cool stone walls... More
