I recently spent a night in Maryborough for work. I stayed at McNevins, located on the corner of John and Walker Streets. My room was large and spacious, with a comfortable queen sized bed and an extra bed that could be pulled out from the wall if needed. There was a fridge, a well stocked mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, together with a small round dining table and a desk. Breakfast (which was delicious!) was available onsite from 630am in a small light filled dining room overlooking the pool, and room service is available too. McNevins has a more formal on-site restaurant that serves dinner and is also available for functions. The motel has parking right outside the door of each room. The staff on reception were friendly and accommodating. I would not hesitate to recommend McNevins if you are staying in Maryborough.

Spacious room and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Emma and Neil. Location was ideal as we were within walking distance to town and the wonderful Brolga Theatre, venue for the 127th Qld Eisteddfod, which was the purpose of our stay. Very pleasant restaurant and great little cafe. The kindness and thoughtfulness shown to our group by Emma and Neil was above and beyond.

Only spent one night here. The room was clean and comfortable. The receptionist that checked us in was pleasant and helpful. Upon checking out when I returned key to office three staff were having a general conversation which none of them stopped when I entered and while I stood there for approx 45secs without any acknowledgement. I finally said I have just come to hand my key in and passed it to the male receptionist who took it without comment. I left the office feeling that they did not value my custom. We will not be back.

We only stayed one night on our way home but it was very good with a great dinner in the motel restaurant (Sails) and a lovely breakfast in their garden cafe. The rooms are very spacious and ours overlooked the pool. The staff are really lovely, friendly and helpful. A fully stocked bar fridge was also in the room. The location is an easy walk to the centre and the river. And the icing on the cake for us was to pat their beautiful dog.
