Overall the hostel was clean and the rooms spacious. The bar and meal deals were good and the atmosphere friendly and exciting for all guests going on the Fraser Island tour. However, I booked my tour with Pippies (the neighbouring hostel&tour) but stayed at Dingo's by mistake. Due to this, I felt that the Dingo staff were very rude and... More

Travelled here with a friend whilst making our way up the east coast. The location was good, rainbow beach is a short walk away and there is a coach stop outside for those travelling by greyhound or premier. The atmosphere was quite chilled and the bar area was nice, as was the hammock area by the pool. There is a... More

Definitely not one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Despite this, there's no way to avoid staying here if you're doing the 3 day/2 night Frasers Island trip (which was amazing may I add...). The rooms were overcrowded and small. It seemed as if the hostel had crammed as many beds as they could into each room and hadn't... More

In general the hostel was nice, good rooms with comfortable beds. Clean enough kitchen and private shower and toilet for each room. But when my friends and I stayed there we accounted a lot of small problems, that if there where only one it would not be a problem, but they kept on piling up. Some examples was that there... More

We were informed by our tour guide to attend the after party after our fraser tour (which was amazing) however discovered on arrival that the bar would not serve us as we were not residents -unfair. Hostel seems fine.

We stayed at the dingos backpackers for 3 nights (1 before and to after our Fraser Island trip). + Bath and toilets in the rooms + free pancakes in the morning + not to loud in the night - free wifi but it didn't really worked - the kitchen is to small for the amount of people and there is... The dorms are good, enough space and every dorm got their own shower with toilet. Beds are clean. However, there isn't a real communal area (only a couple of benches outside) which isn't good when it's raining. The staff was ok, but heard some other stories. Wifi is absolutely terrible (didn't work for me, and had no place to sit... More

This hostel itself is one of the worst I've ever stayed in. - Mattresses are absolutely vile (in addition to being uncomfortable) - Shower consists of only a shower head without anything like a curtain that could prevent the water from splashing everywhere - No lockers (but somehow there is room for useless kitchen cabinets) - Room flooded with water... The rooms are clean but not really comfortable. Per room your own bathroom. No activities to meet people because most people go to frasier island. If you are critical towards hostels you better go to another one. When you go to frasier island its a good place to meet people but dont expect too much. Average age is around twenty.
