Really clean well stocked cabins. Relaxing area and very short drive to the beach. Will come back! Well signed and easy to find on arrival, the owners were lovely when we said we would be turning up late. Nothing was too much trouble.
We spent 2 nights in Agnes Water and really enjoyed the peaceful and quaint location. The property is huge and the cottages are colorful, spotless, nicely decorated and well equipped. There is even a art gallery in the garden, with lovely paintings by the owner, featuring beautiful Queensland scenery. There is also a pirate ship in the garden, which my 11 year old really enjoyed. The owner is extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The cottages really felt like a home away from home.
Staying at the Lovely Cottages was bliss. The property is entirely unique - there's artworks throughout the gardens, along with a couple of ponds where you can feed their turtles, so much wildlife (kangaroos, wallabies, so much birdlife and they have a very friendly docile cat), a really beautiful pool area with BBQ (and all of the utensils are provided - they even wash up for you!) and then there's the cottages. They are quaint while spacious and attention to detail here is fantastic. They have thought of everything! I will definitely be returning to this unique property. Thank you Lisa and Kent (and Glenn the cat!).
How fun....booking a stay for later in the year (when we didn't have our dog with us) in a lovely, well appointed cottage which was private and best of all colourful (no beige here) was great and you get to wander around the grounds and appreciate owner Kent's wonderful art pieces. A lovely dam which attracts wildlife and, my favourite, a shared barbeque area near the pool. This is stocked with cups, dishes and cooking utensils and you can use the Wi-Fi facilities here or chat to other guests over a drink. Lisa and Kent are terrific hosts; friendly and knowledgeable but not in-your-face. Great for families and couples alike. We purchased one of Kent's pieces to take home to remind us of our future holiday.
quirky fits here so would a scone a cup of tea and a love of art as you just sit here, and look . not poshy just a lovely idea, just how amazing to be able to capture qld in so many forms . yep I cried as I turned to see my dad nod from above and imagery to prove that ,in the scene of the painters . here lay a personal message for me in the quietness ,I felt a heart tug for my dad and I told my story here about him and was so delighted with the generosity given us just to listen ,never mind other things too . bring bread turtles here just to add to the lovley peace here. thank you both kent and lisa
