A hot walk around Litchfield National Park, through some fires and in 37 degrees set the scene for a cool beer in the shade. Sitting outside the pub side of the complex on a quiet Sunday afternoon was really good. The publican was by himself and the beer icy cold. Parking just off the highway this spot is worth a break from the roadtrains. Worth visiting for sure.
The room was quiet small however it was clean with nice furnishings. Comfortable bed and pleasant staff. The whole complex has an interesting concept. There was some confusion with the parking which never got sorted out. We had pizza by the pool for dinner and that was very nice.
The roots of this hotel / bar are so old! The story associated with this place is just amazing (ask for it at the bar, ask about Mayse Young!). People there are nice, drinks are fresh and welcome, and the motel is clean, neat and perfect for a break. It might not be brand new or brand fresh, or fancy, or fashion, but it is true to the Outback, it is just perfect!
On my way through stopped by for a cold beer and a break from the road. The bar has a great outdoor area and the beer was cold. Great spot with a few quite local near the bar, staff were friendly and helpful.
Pine Creek Hotel/Motel is the most typical motel to find!!! On your way for Katherine or Darwin or Kakadu, you HAVE to stop here! To sleep? There's the motel, to eat? There's Masey's Cafe for the brekkie and lunch and for the dinner you have the restaurant "The Top Pub" with a big choice of different meals!!! More than that, you can share a drink at the pub with the staff if you want to know them! So, with your family, your friends, your partner or alone, if you are in the outback, take a break at 40, Moule Street, Pine Creek!
