We started out planning to stay one day, and ended up staying three, and doing our hiking/Gaspe town excursions from the motel. It's right by the tallest lighthouse in Canada, so there are tour buses, but we our room was on the water side of the motel, and we didn't hear a peep of traffic from there. The room was spotless, the beds were comfy, the continental breakfast was just fine, and the hosts were very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Very accommodating owners switched our room to an ocean view right away. Gave great info regarding the area and were very hospitable. Great view of the ocean and within ten minutes of parc Forillion and half hour from town of Gaspe. Perfect place

The room was ok with a small fridge and microwave. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean although a bit on smaller side but it serves the purpose. The room on back side had a great view of sea.

It's a great option for a one or two night stay. Totally retro, right down to the green bathtub and sink, glasses wrapped in paper, and those little square soaps I haven't seen in 20 years The room is tiny and the beds are hard, but the place was absolutely spotless and perfectly adequate for 1 night. The hosts are lovely and clearly take a lot of pride in their hotel. The view was spectacular, and well worth the small room and hard beds. Just sitting outside and watching the kazillion birds (and a seal!) flying around was well worth the trip. Breakfast is included, and while it was simple, it was adequate. There was even a water dispenser with orange and lemon slices, such a nice touch.

On my journey to the east coast I chose Caps de Rosier as my easternmost destination before looping back and heading home. This motel is perfectly located for that plan however it was a huge problem communicating. I do accept that I was not in an english area, but travellers need to be aware that nobody here speaks a word of english so plan accordingly. I managed to snag the last room available so I didn't get anything on the ocean side, but it was a nice kitchenette suite and reasonably priced. There were notes up to "not use too much water" and the continental breakfast was nothing more than some cereal and a few stale bagels. On top of that, there was no seating available so I had to take my little bowl of cereal out onto the deck to eat it while sitting on a small bench outside. For doing this I was chastised by one of the owners as he seemed to feel I wasn't going to return my styrofoam bowl to it's rightful place once I was done. There was sufficient heating in the room and I took a hot bath that night just to spite the note. There are other motels in Caps de Rosier and I think I will try someplace else should there be a next time.
