Just had a weekend at Cherry Tree Farm Campsite. We went as a couple but plenty of families there too. Really impressed with the friendly, helpful team. Toilets and showers really clean. No electric hook up but ice pack exchange for a donation to local charity. Saturday nights local restaurant brings a fabulous BBQ with local produce and drinks. Highly recommend.

We stayed for a long weekend here with family and friends and loved it. As far a Campsite’s go the facilities are good, great location within easy reach of the beach and village centre and beautiful views. The staff are really nice and helpful. Good open spaces for the kids to play. The only con for me would be that the showers can get a bit dirty with so many sharing them in between cleans, but this is no different from any other site I’ve stayed at and that’s camping!! I would definitely stay again and could recommend.

All I can say is WOW. Its definitely your back to basic kind of camping, which was exactly what we were looking for. No Wi-Fi, No electric hook ups. Our family had the best time actually enjoying the surroundings, beautiful views and believe it or not, each others company. With plenty of space to roam our kids made friends so quickly sharing their frisbee and football. We rely on computers and phones far too often and to find somewhere that believes in getting back to nature and good old fashion family fun, well we couldn't have ask for more. The staff were brilliant, and we could tell they loved their jobs. We spoke to a few whilst they were on their daily cleans and reception shifts and they were always happy to help and advise. As for the standard of cleaning, well it was impeccable, and to be honest some the facilities are a little dated, but we could appreciate that sometimes things can just look a little tired rather than dirty, there was no way you could say they weren't clean. (We think some people are a little too precious sometimes). Yes at busy times its hard to keep on top of things. They have someone on site 24 hours which we really liked, we did have a small group playing some music a bit later but we noticed security asking them to turn it off and it was quickly resolved. I suppose that's down to the type of customer you want to be too?? We don't often visit the same place twice, but we are excited to book again and bring our friends too. Thank you Cherry Tree Farm for an exceptional and wonderful stay.

We have just returned from a five night stay at Cherry Tree Farm and it couldn’t have been better. We stayed on pitch 3 which is on the top field fairly close to reception and had the most gorgeous view, which my photos probably haven’t done justice to! Each field is well set out with general waste and recycling bins as well as fire points. Drinking water was available from numerous taps across the site as well as the two washing up areas. There are two toilet/shower/washing up blocks so no matter where you pitch, you don’t have far to go for any of these things. The showers were lovely and hot and all areas were very clean. I saw staff out emptying bins and cleaning as late as 10pm ish and there was at least one further clean at one point during the day too as they were never dirty. The only one small suggestion I could make about showers/toilets is that (unless I missed it) I didn’t see any family showers or baby changing. Baby changing wasn’t a big issue as we tended to do that in the tent but it was tricky trying to shower a 7 month old on my own! This is t a big deal though and only a small suggestion for improvement! Staff were so friendly and helpful and very willing to help. I spotted them helping campers with their blow up beds when electric pumps had failed and they are happy to charge phones etc if needed. An ice pack swap station is a brilliant idea too; you give them your warm packs and they give you icy ones back so your milk etc stays cool! The beach and village centres are both worth a visit and less than 10 min walk. Body boards/surf boards/wet suits are all available to hire from several locations but we found that the cheapest was the only site place near reception. Noise wasn’t at all an issue and thanks to plenty of space between tents, there was loads of space for kids to play. The negative reviews have complained about lack of play park but we had a 12 year old and 7 year old and they made their own fun and weren’t bored once thanks to plenty of space for them to throw a ball about and play other outdoor games. Yes there is no WiFi but phone and 4G signal was excellent and of course as I said, staff were so helpful I’m sure they would help with any queries about what to do and where to go etc! The only other negative I’ve spotted people mentioning is the cleanliness but I can assure you, certainly for our stay, this was brilliant! It can’t be easy keeping in top of this with up to 800 guests but they certainly achieved it for the duration of our stay! I highly recommend this camp site, we’ll definitely be returning.

I’ve been visiting Cherry Tree farm campsite for some years now, with toddlers and now teenagers and have just had yet another brilliant getaway at this gem of a campsite in North Devon. It’s 10 minutes walk to the beach and 10-15 walk to the village, where you’ll find shops, surf hire, pubs, restaurants and most importantly the famous ice cream shop! Facilities are great and have been recently improved, there is no hook up but for a small charitable donation, you can charge your phone and swap your ice blocks for your cool box, brilliant system. Showers and loos are clean and they have even started holding bbqs in the summer, which saved us a job cooking the first night! This year I managed to lose my Apple Watch, it got packed up in a tent we decided had seen its last camping trip and was put on the truck to be donated to a refugee camp (what a great idea). Staff were quick to contact them and managed to locate and unpack our tent and found it. I am so grateful for their help, what a result! We’ll be back next year no doubt!
