Hotel Room Cheap, barely looked after. The walls were half painted. The double bed was actually two small singles haphazardly pushed together, which constsntly kept sliding apart, the sheets were a weird shaped decorative cover that was uncomfortable, extra blankets were in the wardrobe but they were the scratchiest things ever. The bathroom was mouldy, not even a plug to use the bath. The "air con" was just a ceiling fan above the bed. Only one socket. Mirror seemed to have a pink reflection which was weird. Balcony was nice spacious although the only view was of the extremely loud roundabout. Balcony sliding door was soundproof enough though. Door lock was just a key, no self locking either, also extremely loud. TV in the room but is pointless for us since there was only one English channel. Service All the staff were nice happy to help. Majority spoke English, the one who didn't tried really hard still though. The cleaning staff seemed to come every day, we were out every day when they did except one, I opened to their knocking and they sort of just stood at the door waiting for us to leave luckily we were just about to leave but who knows how long they would've waited. Facilities Pool Pools a bit small, goes from 0.5m depth to 2m in a short distance with a small children's section. not heated but it's always sunny hot so not really a problem. there was always space around the edge on the sun chairs with umbrellas for cover. The floor surrounding had fake grass that got extremely hot. Restaurant Plenty of seating especially outside Menu was awful, literally a word document on the waiters tablet and all in Spanish with no description or English, so we had the waiter describe every item which he tried hard to do bless. Food Ham and melon; fantastically presented the presentation was to make up for the small simple dish. interesting flavours, that I feel don't work together; the melon was juicy and immediate flavourful but the ham needed a bit of chewing to get the flavour so they didn't mix at all Paella; first try of it and only try of it. It was not nice at all, no flavour just like mush didn't look appealing. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be but wouldn't recommend at all. Waiter did some good tasty cocktails with a decent amount of alcohol Food took it's time for how basic it was and the fact the restaurant was empty. Waiter couldn't have been better.

Been there for a week. Hotel located very near the city center; close to the beach (< 10 min on foot). Pool is big enough to have fun; really enjoyed the fact it was not a big hotel; no annoying tourists (the way you can find in most other hotels of the city - full of noisy russian/british). Really recommand this hotel. Only "problem" was lack of good free internet access (did not work during 2 days). Meals in the hotel are average but good.

a great old building i would say from the 1950s well maintained and kept in good order many of the quality old fixtures still there , nice and cool due to its great ventilation comfortable beds and quiet location ensure a good nights sleep. the pool and surrounding garden is very nice and well kept offering both full sun and shaded areas. the hotel has only about 25 rooms so overcrowding is not a problem. the owner or his staff are always on site and its clear that he loves his hotel and values his guests and does all he can to make your stay enjoyable. only a short stroll from the lively part of town, a car is not essential, there are very few free parking places in lloret.

Picked this stay over the internet with the photos selling it Vs an multi story apartment block. Firstly this is not a 5 star hotel but has all you need- including good breakfast buffet, friendly staff - who speak English, or enough to get by [ night porter looks/sounds a bit gruff but is ok] -nice size pool in garden [lawn could do with a more regular mow/hedges a clip for visual appeal & pump on periodically during the day...] room functional [bit tired] but a great balcony over looking great views. No aircon but that was fine- just opened the doors and closed them at night to stop traffic noise .... New owners for last 5 ish years. Good beer/cocktail prices to have out on the front relaxing area - a covered space- very nice. 5 mins from beach and shops and across road from supermarket. You pay for wifi and parking in front area but this is cheaper than in town and more convenient even if it is a squeeze. Would I stay again - yes, things to improve upon - not a major overhaul, just a tart and tidy up for visual and functional appeal [eg clip holding shower head broken but still usable, tv needed retuning if u turned it off but otherwise worked fine] - but all clean and comfortable and convenient.
