We were booked for two nights in June. Easily found, with an adequate secure car park. An older style building, with plenty of character, located on one of the village squares a stones throw from the sea. The staff were welcoming, friendly, informative and some spoke more than passable English. Our 1st floor room, facing the front of the square... More

We stayed here for two nights in room 22 on the first floor. The room was perfect, clean and warm, with comfy beds, small but fine bathroom, wardrobe, fridge, small desk and an enclosed balcony overlooking the area just before the water - you could also see the water. The hotel owner was very helpful and friendly. We were travelling... More

A very nice room, we are a couple with a 9mth old baby. The room had a baby cot (on request) and was just roomy enough for him to play around. The room was clean and bed nice and comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful en very friendly. Our stay was perfect and will surely visit again if we are... More

We booked into this hotel the night before catching our ferry home from Bilbao. Its main attraction for us had been the locked private parking (parking is a nightmare in Mundaka) but we were really pleased to discover our room was well-appointed and very comfortable. We had originally booked into 'Hotel Mundaka' but had to cancel on arrival as their... More

I booked this for just one night to break our journey to the Bilbao ferry. The hotel was perfect - clean, comfortable and with a very welcoming chap on the desk. Even better, secure parking from my car! Due to the time of year Mundaka itself did not offer much in the way of eating choices - so we ate... More

Great little 'boutique' hotel in the heart of this charming village. Super friendly staff and no complaints whatsoever! It does get slightly hot in the rooms at night and yes there are some Mosquitos when you have the balcony doors open. All I can say is take some repellent, you start sticking air con hotels in tiny fishing villages you... More

Located centrally on the square and in getting of the church, Atalaya is recommendable just for its location. The room was large and the bathroom too. The staff was super friendly and the hotel has a nice bar/restaurant at the ground floor. Best recommendations for this hotel:)

If you are reading this its because you are either a) already familiar with Mundaka and so just confirming that others share your love or b) planning a short visit to the Urdabi for nature and or surf. If b) you'll see this is the 4th time my family and I have visited and stayed at the Atalaya. I cant... More

We stayed here last month and we got a big room, it included a bedroom, a living room area, and then a huge bathroom. The room was clean and the wait staff were all very nice. It's centrally located in town and a 2 minute walk to see the main surf spot/surfers. We were able to get breakfast to go... More

We drove up to it and were impressed with the outside appearance and evidence of a parking compound. Upon checking in we were given our choice of rooms, selecting one with a pleasant view of the ocean and town. Breakfast the next day was very good.
