Yangzhou is one of the hidden gems of China that most foreign tourists overlook, and the Changle Hotel is an excellent choice to be in the heart of the action but also in a quiet, beautiful, classically Chinese environment. It is set in a sprawling enclosed region with beautiful gardens, walkways, and numerous classic buildings like a small village. Our... More

This is a really remarkable hotel. We stayed for two weeks and encountered great service but oh we were so sick of the eggs at breakfast. We were also the only English speaking guests, although several people tried to communicate (their English is still way better than my Chinese). Fortunately, we had Chinese family members who could help out. The... More

DongGuan street is crowd but be careful to eat in the restaurant on the street - expensive and not delicous. Don't has car parking which need to park the car nearby. Enjoy the... More

The staff thinks of everything here. Incredibly friendly and accommodating, always with a smile. We checked out bicycles from the front desk and enjoyed touring the city by giving our feet a break. When we returned from the bicycle ride, a staff person greeted us a the front door and helped us back in. The hotel is situated right in... More

Our visit in May was a great experience. The hotel staff all made special efforts to make our stay memorable. The meals were excellent and the accommodations very nice. I had visited during the prior July so I couldn't wait to return to this special place.

Came back to Yangzhou for a conference and had another great stay. Unique, spotless, modern rooms. Service is attentive, conference spaces on site made it perfect business locale. Step out onto the street for historic setting of shopping and food, modern bustling new Yangzhou city an easy walk around the corner.

We stayed in this hotel during 2014 Lunar New Year, overall that was a great experience. Hotel located in the middle of a 2km long historical street, room was well equiped and most in room amenities were up to standard. We went to Spa on the first night but realized spa was not open, front desk staff recommended in room... More

Outstanding hotel all around. A historic compound that now offers wide variety of rooms, meeting spaces, great food and 7-star service. Cannot say enough about the hotel staff and the unique spotless series of rooms. Most all of the rooms have courtyards that are ideal for combining up with families and friends to share. The gardens across the narrow stone... More

Hotel is located in the oldest neighborhood of Yangzhou that dates back to the 18-19th century. The property belonged to a Chinese general in Qing Dynasty. Full of original charms, everything is made of wood. We had a room with private living room and courtyard. The whole place also includes Chinese traditional gardens, ponds, little pavallions here and there. It's... More

We had to park our car a couple of blocks away, but the hotel staff picks you up in golf carts to take you to the hotel. There are lots of staff, mostly friendly young men with somewhat humorous English nametags. The renovation of this historic property is very well done, although keep in mind that if you are on...
