What a lovely place!its sooo quirky!we arrived late due to flight delay!the lovely lady sat down with us and helped us organise our trips..we were only there for two days but we jam packed the days..she went above and beyond to help us including dropping and collecting us from a trip we had a lovely breakfast there too.would highly recommended
Yes, the hostel name on Trip Advisor is a little confusing, as the major Chinese travel site "C-Trip" introduces this place as Wang Yi Inn, also their business card has its Engilsh name as "Memory Inn." As all the reviews say, the place is quite great, small but very comfortable. There was 1 staff who spoke English when we stayed there, as she was very helpful. They charge the airport transport service 50 RMB which is very expensive, while the local taxi only charges around 10 RMB or so, and the pick-up service we ordered even arrived late, so we don't recommend it. The taxi in town is cheap, as well as the buses in town are combinient. They can help you plan your trip in Zhangjiajie, deciding where to go and when, but they are also very eager to sell the tickets, so do your basic review before arriving town. If you do your besic research, the trip to Zhangjiajie and the stay at this Wang Yi Inn could be fantastic!…
I stayed here for a week in August and was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of my stay. The reception staff are immensely helpful and welcoming and will ensure you get the most from your stay in the area. My room (and the hotel as a whole) was very clean and tastefully decorated (more so than many more expensive hotels I've stayed in in China) and the roof garden is a really nice place to hang out. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
The hostel name on Tripadvisor is a little misleading. From looking at the pictures, this is definitely where we stayed but we had stayed in a hotel room. I found the place to be clean, comfortable and had a very helpful English speaking staff.
CTrip writes this as Wang Yi Inn. We stayed one night here after Wulingyuan stay. The hotel was a bit difficult to find even for the local driver even though its right on a main road. Thats because the front sign is not very prominent. Nerverthless, we had a wonderful one night here and were wondering we should have left Pullman (Wulingyuan) a bit earlier, and come over. I was told that the staff does not speak english, but that was not an issue at all as there is Scarlett on the front desk. She is very conversant with English and equally hospitable. She personally walked us to a brilliant hot pot Hunan restaurant (Fu Zhengyi Three Pot Hot Pot Food) and ordered for us and returned back to the hotel (v sweet of her). The room is basic yet very comfortable. Location is great- right opposite a large mall, shopping street and 10 mins to the airport. We didnt go to Tianmen Cable, but that shouldnt be far either. There is a small coffee shop cum bar on the roof top which looks really cute to hang out. We couldnt use it as we reached quite late. Scarlett organised an early morning (530am) taxi to airport (50RMB)... maybe a little steep due to the early hours and 4 pcs of luggage. I strongly recommend the hotel and thanks to Scarlett.…
