Our family of four had a blast staying in a tiny home at River and Twine. The check-in was seamless, the location was picturesque, the house itself was small, of course, but thoughtfully appointed, and the walking distance restaurants were delightful. Upon checkout, we were immediately dreaming inviting some of our closest friends to rent more tiny houses with us and throw an easy reunion!
Tiny house hotel is quite accurate. Beautiful area with very good outside seating are to enjoy sunsets and sunrises. House are well equipped with bedding seating and television. The upstairs bedroom is very tight but suitable. Super clean with many different types of housing to choose from. Walking distance to great food and a brewery as well as the farmers market. Very good pls e for relaxation, romance or family time.
We stayed for just one night while we were headed down South. The location is great, just off of i-95 with restaurants and bars just across the street. It was nice and quiet, the tiny house was clean and beautiful inside. Check-in is super easy, with a key code. It was the perfect, unique location to start our road trip.
Attended a wedding at The Power House in Rocky Mount, which is located at The Mill, and the tiny house village is basically across a large parking lot. A group of us decided to stay at the tiny houses so we could be together, yet not at a basic hotel. The tiny house was OK. I can now mark it off my bucket list but I really have no desire to stay again. While cute, it was not very warm even with the heat on (stayed in Feb), the blanket was missing for the sofa turned bed at the bottom (glad I had packed my one), and there was DOG hair all over the actual sofa. Yes, you put sheets over the cushions, but still it was all over and I felt like I was sleeping with a pet. Also, at the fire pit in the back there is NO LIGHTING at all. There are lots of rocks and it is very dangerous. I understand that lighting could distract from some of the ambiance but it is not safe. It started to pour while we were there and people had to scramble to their houses. One of the guys stepped backwards, fell, and hit his nose rather had on a large rock. However, with all being said, it could be perhaps considered fun if you are there in better, warmer weather and if you just want to give something different a try. The other good part is that you can go to the various breweries (if they are open) and just walk to your tiny house. …
We love staying in the tiny house! It was nice to have an outdoor seating and chimenea. Would definitely stay again. We walked to get coffee in the morning at Books and Beans. The property is beautiful.
Fun weekend in our tiny house. Just wish it was warm to enjoy sitting outside. This was such a cool experience . There are about 20 tiny houses . They left us a complimentary 4 pack of beer. They have nice restaurants and breweries close by. Can walk around easily. There is a nice walking park close by.
A super fun place to visit. We enjoyed s’mores around the fire circle and walking to the breweries and restaurants near by. Kids enjoyed running around and playing in the gaga pit across the street. Our tiny house was beautiful and modern. It’s tight for four people, but that’s the point after all!
Great time was had at River & Twine. Sweet getaway with friends to relax and go deeper in our friendships and R&T provided a fun and relaxing place to do that. It’s just an hour away from home but felt completely removed from every day life. It’s location right next to Rocky Mount Mills and all that they have meant we parked our cars and didn’t get into them again until it was time to head home. Would definitely go again!
This was our first experience with a Tiny House. I wouldn’t want to live in one full time but the visit was nice. The home was very clean and smelled nice. We went with 3 other couples and enjoyed our time together especially around the fire pit in the evenings. We really liked getting the codes for the doors and not having to check in and check out. This is perfect for couples!
We spent one night there and it was great! The upstairs bed was nice but the couch to bed conversion on the main floor wasn’t. Small kids probably wouldn’t mind the main floor bed but it’s terrible for adults or older teenagers. All in all, a great experience! The check in experience was great. They send you a code for the electronic entry and that’s all you need to do. It was very clean and quiet. It was just a few minutes off of I-95 so very convenient.
