We stayed in one of the large cabins, I believe it was White Oak or something like that. I can't get over how clean it was and it had plenty of room for our two kids to run around. The atmosphere was perfect! We loved eating outside at the restaurant down by the river... Food was delicious! We had the... More

I really loved the hotel portion of our stay however since there are no other places to eat while staying at the hotel you are stuck with a mediocre restaurant. I would have given the hotel a 5 star except for this. The restaurant at best is a 3 star. THe rooms are lovely, beautifully decorated as is the rest... More

There was only a few flaws to an otherwise amazing stay. They DO NOT HAVE WiFi. . Only for staff. So no cell signal either. Tricky when you need to check maps. But they do have a computer available for all guests to use at your leisure. There is only one way into the restaurant is from the other side... More

Bear Creek Falls is a great hike for a family who is passing through or staying at the lodge. Tapoco Lodge has excellent food! Trout nuggets and Chicken BLT wrap is the best! The rooms and cabins are gorgeous! A great get away to the mountains.

Everything was perfect! They went above and beyond to help us. We loved our view, the running water, water falls, fresh air!!! no Wi-Fi, no internet it was the perfect getaway!!!! The staff was so welcoming and friendly, We arrived late and the gentleman still made us food after the kitchen was closed. He hung out with us by the... More

My son and I stayed here in July when we were rafting near by. It is right at the foot of the Tail of the Dragon, so we had to go do that also. The room was very nice, and also very reasonable. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet weekend. Also, the food and their restaurant... More

Absolutely loved our visit to Tapoco Lodge. Our intention was to take a relaxing trip before our first child arrives. We couldn't have picked a better location. Secluded in the mountains with breathtaking views and the Cheoah creek located directly in front of the lodge. Such a great spot to relax since cell phone service doesn't exist and televisions are... The setting is very peaceful with water running over rocks. Wood tables, adirnondock chairs and fire pits complete the scene. Service was very friendly (can be slow but didn't mind). Loved the homemade chips with bacon and blue cheese. Enjoyed meat/cheese plate. Great selection of local craft brews! Cute gift shop on way in and out of lodge too.

We sat out on the patio with a babbling brook in the background. A cool breeze was a welcome relief from the sweltering heat of the day. I chose a salad with fresh strawberries for lunch while my husband decided on a sandwich wrap. The presentation was lovely & the entrees were delicious. It was a lovely break from driving... More

Just returned to Florida after a 4 night stay at Tapoco. What a beautiful place and such very nice people! Went with 2 couples to ride the winding roads of NC/TN and of course the Dragon. Pulled into the resort on Sunday evening after a 10 hour ride to find lots of outdoor lights and firepits along the river welcoming... More
