We went to the restaurant on a Saturday night and set outside. The views are marvelous. The food was amazing and the service friendly and fast. The next time we visit this area we will be sure to go back.

Wanted a getaway with our kids - mix of college, HS and Elementary - in the mountains. Search results brought up this wonderful location in extreme Western NC. The Tapoco Lodge was a former retreat for Alcoa executives and fortunately today is open for public use. We rented 2 two bedroom cabins - each with an outdoor hot tub. We... More

Restaurant had really good pizza and pleasant service. We stayed in a cabin room which had a musty smell upon entry but didn't notice it at all after bring in the room for several minutes. Our room was very clean and the bedding quite comfortable so had a great night's sleep . Breakfast the next morning offered pastries, toast ,... More

I have rode past this place unknowingly at least a dozen times in the last 5 years and stayed at far less superior places at more of a costly price. From the minute we showed up we felt like we were at our 2nd home. The staff was very personable, the property was very inviting, the landscaping was perfect, the... More

Rented the White Oak 1 & 2 for the weekend with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons. The cabin was large enough for the entire family with a big kitchen, living room and dining area; bedrooms were very nice and very comfortable. The meals were excellent and the staff was very friendly and I highly recommend. The only complaint that... More

Rustic elegance located on the Cheoah River in the beautiful North Carolina Mountains. The staff are genuinely friendly and the food is excellent. Lodging and food is reasonably priced. Red the Lodge Dog was an extra bonus.

My wife and I planned a trip to drive the "Tail of the Dragon" and in searching for a place near there to stay I found Tapoco Lodge. Booked it on my own. Well when we got there my wife was thrilled with what I'd chosen! Rustic but with modern comforts. It reminded us quite a bit of being at... More

Tapoco Lodge is a very well maintained historical lodge in a gorgeous location on the river. We stayed in one of the cabin rooms that was comfortable and a perfect mix of older styling with modern convenience. We ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant, food was great for both, service was friendly albeit rather slow and seemingly disorganized but... More
