My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Two Wheel Inn. It was a wonderful experience. The room was clean when we arrived, and it was clean when we returned after a day of riding. The owners are super friendly and extremely accommodating. I love that they had brochures of activities to do in the area (we took advantage of the rafting), and the maps of every highway to ride were very helpful. The motorcycle garages attached to the rooms gave us a much needed peace of mind. We didn't have to worry about the weather while we slept. Don't bother with the restaurant next door. It is convenient but over priced for horrible food. The town itself is tiny. Only a few restaurants (that close pretty early), and a few stores. We stocked up at the Dollar General the day we arrived. They have a nice outdoor grilling area. The stage was taken over by a band, so we were unable to take advantage of that. But It also has a station to wash your bike! The Inn is definitely located in a place you will stay just to sleep. It is close to The Tail and the Cherohala Skyway. All in all, this is a great place to rest after a full day of riding the roads. We will absolutely stay here again!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here while we visited so he could ride the Tail of the Dragon. Pam and her daughter are incredible hosts! The hotel was clean and quiet. Each room has an accompanying garage for your motorcycle! Our room had two single beds, a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker as well as a good sized TV with a lot of channels. Unlike some of the other places where bikers stay, it was peaceful and not crowded. In the morning and evening, we could hear the bikes as they arrived or left but otherwise it was quite peaceful and quiet. There is a beautiful slab to sit and socialize and each room has two chairs sitting out front with a small table. There is a beautiful lighted pavilion with picnic tables and grills and eventually, the owner will be opening a restaurant but that isn’t ready yet. I was excited to see fireflies all over the field next to the hotel. There is plenty of room on the property for your bike trailer and also for parking. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the tail of the dragon and not far from the cherohala skyway. The drive from Robbinsville to Cherokee was about an hour and about another hour and a half to Gatlinburg from Cherokee through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are not a lot of restaurant options in Robbinsville but there is a Wendy’s and McDonald’s and an Ingles market not too far away. Please be aware that this hotel is in a valley and wifi can go in and out, it’s just part of being in a mountainous region and in my opinion, it’s good for everyone to have a break from electronics on vacation! I highly recommend this place and we will definitely return to visit!

Checkin was quick and easy. Love the garage to park our bike in. When you open the room door you could smell that it had been cleaned. Room was spotless. Bed was so comfortable. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice comfy stay out away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Great stay at Two Wheel Inn. We had the upper apartment. Very clean and quiet. The AC was blowing icicles when we checked in after a long, hot day of riding. Very appreciated. Check in was super easy. Owner walked down to apartment to show us outside light switches and garage code. Met brothers Kevin and Scott staying in downstairs apartment. They were full with bikers in the regular rooms. We heard several bikers telling the owner how nice their rooms were while we were checking in. Great base to come in to after riding in the area. Reasonable rates. We will be back.

This is an unassuming small motel for the motorcycle crowd. We spent three nights. It is very clean! Rooms are nice. There is a huge shower, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, wifi, great a/c unit(it was hot), two twin beds:/ ???
The management is super nice, staff is efficient and friendly. Laundry, ice, drink machine. I’d stay here again!!! Oh yeah!! A garage for you bike and towels and shiny stuff to spray ay on your bike!! Rates are good even in October leaf season! Check them out!!

My husband and I had plans to go to TWI for a rally when the Colonial Pipeline was hacked. We live on the Coast of NC so we live about 6-7 hours away. Every place we would need to stop either didn’t have fuel or had long lines. We decided not a good idea to travel and get stuck. I called TW and spoke to a gentleman. I told him the situation and he responded “ there is no gas shortage, but whatever.” This was because in his little town the gas stations had fuel, so I’m assuming he doesn’t watch the National news. He was extremely short with me and told me he either charges the two night deposit or we have 60-90 days to come and stay at TW. We had come for many years under the old management and loved it. Not sure I would ever have another vacation there. I understand having a business to run, but this situation was beyond our control. I would have happily worked something out with him had he not been so rude.

I stayed at the Two Wheel Inn with my brother in-law while on vacation, we came down to ride "The Dragon" and all of the other amazing roads in the surrounding areas. The rooms were clean, the staff was very polite, AC was cold, and the garage was an amazing plus for us to store both of our bikes in at night.

On the last day of our trip, we requested a late check out in hopes we could get a few extra hours of riding in before we had to clean up and head back north for an 8 hour drive. The staff was super nice about it and had no problem at all giving us a few extra hours to still have the room to clean up and change after we were done riding. Honestly, I can't see how anyone could be unhappy staying here, what you get for the price you're paying is a phenomenal deal!

Due to the staff being so great and the overall package being so awesome for the price, I just got off the phone from booking another trip back down there to stay at the end of this month!

Just left a 5 day stay at TW. The staff is very friendly/ accommodating. We stayed in the upper apartment and the place was very clean. It only has one proper sleeping area (queen bed) but the staff will gladly provide cots for those extra guests. The place is isolated but there was a food truck right next door that serves amazing food. The restaurant was closed and wasn’t opened during our stay but Robbinsville is a short 5 min drive that has restaurants. You can buy groceries and cook on site if you feel so inclined. Unlike the rooms the upper apartment has use of the garage and we had no trouble fitting four bikes in there.
Things to remember or consider:
You are in the mountains so be prepared for intermittent internet service. This includes the TV and it was very frustrating watching a movie that was constantly buffeting. Water pressure like the internet was inconsistent. The first person into the shower noticed a drop in pressure towards the end of their shower. Unfortunately the second person in experienced the water literally stopping. You can buy beer at the local grocery store but liquor is a different story. You should bring that or you will be travelling a great distance to purchase some. The restaurants don’t serve alcohol so your drinking will be confined to the Inn.
You are close to some of the best motorcycle rides NC and Tennessee has to offer. Soaking this you starting point is a good choice.
A good stay but those things that prevent it from being great are easy fixes and some are just the beyond the owner’s control.

What do you want when you look for a motorcycle lodging site?
Near great rides? Of course - check.
Good price? Check.
Clean rooms? Check.
Walking distance to a great restaurant? Check.
Restaurant has adult beverages? Double check.
Now add the extra benefits of a fantastic staff that will go above and beyond for you AND a room for your pride and joy! That's right - a single motorcycle garage for each room. Fantastic.
I'm only sorry we just had the opportunity to stay a single night. You could stay here a week and never get to experience all the area has to offer, or tire of the benefits of the Two Wheel Inn.
But don't take my word for it. I brought my wife here. She's a very reluctant bike traveler and this was her first overnight trip with me.
She said, "Yeah, I'd come back here." There you have it. You can't get any better than that.

The rooms were clean, and of good size. The caretakers were great for conversation and giving recommendations on where to go and what to see. The rooms were cleaned daily and always had fresh towels or any other need. The surrounding grounds were well kept. Nice addition was a small garage attached to the room which was great if any mechanical or washing need had to be done. When I return to the area I will use the 2 wheel inn again.

The price is around $60-70. BUT, you get so much more than a clean place to stay. The customer service there is phenomenal! The rooms are super clean, the rooms are not fancy, but are perfect for a Motorcycle getaway or a couples retreat! This is the ONLY place near the Dragon I will stay! I've stayed there at least once a year for the last 4 years. I will book my next trip within the next week.
