ALL the staff were just unbelievable from start to finish and nothing was to much trouble, friendly and so helpful. The set up was fantastic and looked great. Whatever we wanted they done, if we wanted to move or... More

Stayed in room 2. Room like an oven, even with door to bathroom closed "towel rail heater permanently on",so used fan supplied and opened sash Windows but still hot. Had to close windows as room over looks busy road junction which is very noisy all night and day. Food good ,service great, staff mainly European and very nice and helpful.

Had a wonderful Sunday Lunch on 17th July. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The secret garden at the back of the hotel was a lovely place to sit and have a coffee. I will go back again very soon.

The rooms are small but adequate for an overnight stay. Its old world style is charming however the plumbing could be better especially the towel rail which was hot enough to burn and not able to be switched off - told it was one of those things.

Small boutique hotel in the middle of the village. Staff very friendly and helpful. My room was recently refurbished and was lovely. As I stayed nearly a week I tried most dishes on the menu and was very happy with all. Nice large garden out the back which I had my coffee in a few evenings as the weather was... More

If you need a night away from the hustle and bustle of London then Pangbourne is the place for you. Only an hour by train from London Paddington. Great walking along the Thames Path to Goring and Streatley. Bed was incredibly comfortable after a long day on your feet. A bath to relax in which is always a bonus. Room... More

Stayed here for a wedding and had a lovely double room, the hotel is lovely and fit in with the tone of the town, all very classic English town. The cocktails are yummy and creative, the lady who makes the list is very talented! The staff are friendly and helpful, and up for a laugh!

The bar is a perfect place for a weekday lunch - quiet, dog friendly, great food and sandwiches - freshly made, quality ingredients, and excellent value for money. Staff are friendly and efficient. A lot of places could learn a lot from The Elephant. My favourite local for when we're out for a long walk.

The function room and garden was made available for a community event on the Sunday 19 June, supporting the St James parish church (located next door) 150th anniversary celebrations taking place over three days. The manager, Dale and his staff could not have done more to help and the enthusiasm to set up an appropriate themed tea in the lovely... More
