If you need a night away from the hustle and bustle of London then Pangbourne is the place for you. Only an hour by train from London Paddington. Great walking along the Thames Path to Goring and Streatley. Bed was incredibly comfortable after a long day on your feet. A bath to relax in which is always a bonus. Room... More

Stayed here for a wedding and had a lovely double room, the hotel is lovely and fit in with the tone of the town, all very classic English town. The cocktails are yummy and creative, the lady who makes the list is very talented! The staff are friendly and helpful, and up for a laugh!

The bar is a perfect place for a weekday lunch - quiet, dog friendly, great food and sandwiches - freshly made, quality ingredients, and excellent value for money. Staff are friendly and efficient. A lot of places could learn a lot from The Elephant. My favourite local for when we're out for a long walk.

The function room and garden was made available for a community event on the Sunday 19 June, supporting the St James parish church (located next door) 150th anniversary celebrations taking place over three days. The manager, Dale and his staff could not have done more to help and the enthusiasm to set up an appropriate themed tea in the lovely... More

A lovely, relaxed hotel with a sense of stylish fun. From the room keys (big chunky wooden elephants), through the exotic / eccentric room names, to the amusing, quirky quotes on the breakfast menu, all is well done fun and charm. Very comfortable beds, lovely linen and a star mention to the fantastic power shower (large rainfall head) - really... More

Accommodation very comfortable and great place for a night meeting friends and old acquaintances as in our case. The staff looked after us well and could not fault the room which was well designed and homely.

Called here on the off chance and had a plesant surprise. Had Sunday Lunch, leek and potato soup to start, very tasty vegetarian option of roasted butternut squash risotto which was one of the best I have tasted. I saw the meat option lunch which was plentiful with a good sized yorkshire pudding. I can't comment on desert as I... More

This hotel is a little quirky and different ,all the rooms have a different theme our room was spacious and clean and in a quite position. The bed was comfortable and the shower quick to give hot water . We chose to include the evening meal in our booking . I found the three course meal good value and the... More
