After reading reviews my husband and I decided to give this a try for an overnight Saturday stay as we were visiting friends nearby. We arrived early and our first problem encountered was parking. There is only a small car park and two spaces were used by some trades vehicles who were doing decorating work at the hotel. After some... More

I stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night with a very late checkin. This was no problem and when I turned up after 11pm they were very welcoming and apologised for the wedding party going on. The room was really nice and large with quirky décor, tea and coffee and fizzy or still water and massive TV with all the... More

We visited The Elephant on the weekend we were at a wedding close by. The room was very spacious and quirky. There was plenty of room to hang your clothes, a comfy bed and plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. The bathroom was also lovely, but unfortunately the hot water tap to the bath didn't work. I am... More

Decided to give this a try after reading reviews here and for the swan... We picked here and was worth it. Friendly & attentive staff, clean and tidy. Toilets clean too and most importantly the food was great and reasonably priced for what we got.Thoroughly enjoyed the fajitas & burger from local "vicars". Wine and beer good. Will be coming... The hotel as everyone has described is quirky which is exactlywhat I wanted. I rented three rooms and all were different but great, one was a little small but not extremely. The staff were extremely helpful. The beer garden out back was lovely and the breakfasts were great.

Rooms small and dated. No top sheet on bed, just thick duvet which on hot summer night was useless and impossible to get good night's sleep. Staff friendly, breakfast good. Overall nice hotel but for me failed at the basics.

Parking is available but is limited, however there is a car park next to the hotel. The rooms are really nice and a little quirky. The amenities in the room are great with iron, ironing board and a fan as there is no air conditioning. The food is excellent in the bar and it has a nice beer garden. You... More

Stayed in room 2. Room like an oven, even with door to bathroom closed "towel rail heater permanently on",so used fan supplied and opened sash Windows but still hot. Had to close windows as room over looks busy road junction which is very noisy all night and day. Food good ,service great, staff mainly European and very nice and helpful.
