Pros: This hotel was fine. It was a good price, and a good location. The staff were all friendly. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The shower was wonderful. There was 24 hour free coffee in the lobby. The breakfast had limited options, but what they had was very good, including scrambled eggs and sausages. The AC worked well and could be adjusted.

Cons: The room had seen better days. The fridge was inside a wooden cabinet that didn't close properly. The electrical outlets on one wall looked burned around the sides. The bathroom mirror was broken on the corner, and taped back together. The lampshade was cracked. The toilet seat was unstable and made you feel it was going to fall over when you sat on it. The TV was big, but you had to scroll through the channels the old fashioned way without a guide on the remote control. And lastly, I feel compelled to add, the big abstract painting in the room wasn't my favorite design choice. I think they were trying to tie all the colors in the room together by adding them all to a single painting, but I think they could make the room look a lot better with a less chaotic painting. It wasn't working for me. D:

Overall, it was a fine stay, and everyone was nice. The hotel delivered in all the ways that really mattered. But it is a budget option, so don't expect anything fancy.

The staff were very nice, and the room was spacious. The continental breakfast was normal with fresh fruit, cereal, a waffle maker multiple juices, and milks. Everything appeared clean and orderly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are going to be in the immediate area.

I stayed at Comfort Inn during a trip to Raleigh to take an exam. Anastasia is a gem! She is customer-oriented and friendly. I would stay here again. My daughter left her earbuds and the staff was kind enough to locate and hold them until we could return to Raleigh and pick them up. The room was clean and staff was responsive. The location was very convenient.

I have to say as I first walked in the lobby door I was greeted by a pleasant & professional young lady at the front desk. Her name is Regenia. She was very helpful during check in and seemed to know her job well. Also during my stay I was impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the friendliness of the housekeeping personal that I came in contact with. So I was not surprised that when the time came for me to check out, I was assisted buy another proficient staff member named Keyi. He too was a true professional and friendly person.

One thing I would like to bring to your attention. My room was right above an exterior door which people frequently used to step outside to smoke, and not just tobacco. The HVAC unit would pull the odors in. So maybe a designated smoking area would help alleviate this issue. Other than that I had a pleasant stay.

Thanks again to Regenia, Keji and the housekeeping staff. I will be back.

Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable. Location was good with easy access to 440. It would have been nicer if the in-room refrigerator had a freezer section, an in-room microwave would be good and a swivel for the TV. FYI, snack/food machine is only on 1st floor. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't speak to that. (My only problem was that my smoke detector was chirping most of night).

Pros: not far from shops, restaurants; about 20 minutes or so from the Raleigh-Durham airport.
Anyone going to the Ritz for a concert/event would appreciate the location of the hotel.
Free parking and free breakfast - always a plus for me
Staff was pleasant

Cons: The room itself was average - nothing special, a bit outdated.
One of the elevators was out of order.
The hallway carpet was dirty (but the hotel made it clear that the carpet would be getting changed out at some point)

I must express my utter most disappointment with th Comfort Inn Raleigh NC. Midtown. Back in January, just last month my mother and I booked her hotel stay here for the weekend of Thursday, February 16th -Sunday, February 19th. We received her confirmation and were all set for her to stay here while she attended the 2023 American Legion Mid Winter Conference. My mother who is an ACTIVE senior member of the American legion along with myself and basically my entire family was anxiously looking forward to this conference which she made plans way in advance to attend. Although my mother is a resident of Durham NC which is a few towns over, she decided to select this hotel out of all others hotels based on a recommendation of a friend. Being this event was a weekend conference, some of the workshops ended late, eager to attend every event, she decided to stay close by as she does not do well driving at night. She received her email confirmation from the hotel back in January and was excited and ready to support her Veterans as she’s done all of these years in the Legion. To hers and my extreme disappointment, the hotel called her about 1:30pm the day of check in as she was heading to the hotel to inform her that her reservation was cancelled because they did not accommodate anyone living within a 30 mile radius of the facility. Again this was within a few hours of check in. Needless to say my Mother missed her conference this weekend and this hotel had the nerve to send her a cancellation email as of she is the one who cancelled. If this is their policy I believe making a phone call like this 2 hours before check in is extremely unacceptable. My mother is a senior who loves supporting her American veterans and this weekend was a BIG DEAL that was ruined by this hotel. Shame on you Comfort Inn Raleigh! I hope anyone living in a 30 mile radius of this hotel reads this review before giving this place your business.

Spent two nights here (June 9 & 10) and let me just say that the staff here are EXCELLENT. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean but dated , some of the furniture and decor has seen better days. We asked for a room service cleaning during our stay and our room was fully made up with lots of extra towel ect- thank you! Pool area is very clean with lots of seating. Breakfast had enough to offer and was plentiful and replenished often, the entire breakfast area was kept very clean. Close to shops and some restaurants but an easy drive to the downtown social district. Would stay there again simply based on the staff !

Please avoid this hotel! As lifelong non-smokers, we were charged a $250 cleaning fee for "smoking" in the room, which we emphatically did not do, and management only hangs up when we attempt to discuss this. This is a blatant cash grab from unsuspecting visitors. Stay at your own risk.

Bed bugs and poor management. Usually I have a great stay at this hotel. Want to preface this by saying that the front desk staff was very polite to me. I do want to point out though that I do have bed bug bites and I noticed it the next day after I checked out. I called the hotel after I found the bites and told them they needed to check the room for bed bugs and to have the manager. Please call me. I called the next day and asked to speak with the manager. The front desk person was told by the manager to tell me that they had somebody check the room and there were no bed bugs. You cannot check for bed bugs during the day. They only come in at night so there is no way to see if there's bed bugs during the day. She said afterwards that because of this there can be no refund. I did not ask for a refund, all I wanted was to speak to a manager to make sure that they were taking care of the problem and to be treated with a level of respect for somebody who was bitten by bugs in their hotel. I was treated very poorly. I couldn't even get hold of the manager because she couldn't be bothered to speak to me. All I wanted to do was speak about any future stays and making sure they took care of the problem but this won't be a problem anymore because I will never stay with them again. I reached out to the general manager harin as well. Have heard nothing back. I made a complaint to corporate and I'm hoping that gets a manager to reach out to me. Really bad customer service for somebody who went through bed bug bites and was treated with no respect.

How are the beds Firm or soft?
That is a tough question to answer, we like to think that we have chosen beds that meet everyone's expectation of comfort. In my opinion they are firm with a pillow top for softness.
