Excellent accommodations. The Inn has 32 beautiful rooms in a farm setting. Very peaceful atmosphere with a small village attached of maybe 8-9 stores for nice walk around..The food at the Inn is 5 star, so was outstanding, but a bit pricey. Rooms were large and very nicely done. The service was excellent.

I treated myself to a stay here while crossing the state with my two children. We loved the goats, Gardens, high tea, the pool, and McIntyres books. There was a baby orphan deer my girls loved taking pictures of. The food at the restaurant (bar menu at least) was divine, as was the breakfast. Loved the towel Warmer and the heated bathroom floor. Service was wonderful. My kids were delighted with the turn down service.

I planned a surprise getaway for our or Anniversary. Since it was a very special one, I sought to find a very special place, and found it at the Fearington House Inn! The grounds in Fearington Village were beautiful. The entry to the inn was attractive and suitable for an elegant small (36 rooms I believe) inn. The buildings were lovely and well maintained. The staff was very attentive. Then we entered our Deluxe room, and were thrilled. The special amenities I had ordered, roses and chocolate covered strawberries, were not only there as requested, they were beautifully displayed. Right next to them an ice bucket for the champagne. We felt as if we had landed in a paradise! And, that was before dinner at their Fearington House Restaurant next door! (I'll write a separate view of this incredible restaurant!) What a great time and great place! It was everything we could have expected from a Relais et Chateau property. We won't wait until our next 50th to go back! Let me note, my wife and I formerly owned and operated a 5-Star, Trip Advisor rated B&B and are very critical of places we visit. The Fearington House Inn is tops in our book!

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. The gardens are gorgeous and the rooms are well appointed. It is an easy drive to both UNC and Duke. My only complaints are that it was a little pricey for the location (but Relais & Chateaux always is) and a surly staff member, Rosie, who was exceptionally rude when I asked for a 30 minute extension on check out. Ask for a room that looks out on the garden. Unfortunately, we had a room that looked out in the air conditioners!

Spent three nights here with my wife for our anniversary and were unimpressed. We’ve really enjoyed other R&C properties so were looking forward to seeing another. Rooms are nice but not to the level of other hotels at this price point (our room was 600/night). Breakfast is included and is exceptional (get the fresh squeezed OJ). Overall facilities are getting tired and the “Village” is a ghost town. Only a couple shops that never seemed to be open. Service makes or breaks a hotel at this price point and that was certainly the case here. I would describe our experience with service somewhere between inattentive and rude. Upon check out my wife pointed out several small charges that were not ours and instead of just correcting the error it turned into a 15 minute argument before they would remove. In summary, there are many better options in this segment of the market.
