I resided at the Huskins Court and Cottages for 3 months. I couldn't have received a better answer to my prayers for a great place to stay. Juanita was the best at keeping everything on the property up to par. It's hard to find places like this with someone putting so much dedication into your satisfaction. I am working on returning to Boone and this will be my first contact if everything works out. Very safe and quiet. Dennis L. Patrick

Although the space is small, the hospitality is large. Juanita is a great host and the rooms are awesomely clean and well decorated. Located in the mountains, the porch is a great place to sit and relax. Very inexpensive and not a lot of amenities. But you can't beat it!!

It's nothing fancy but the cabins are clean and had all the basics. Location in the mountains is great. Hospitality of the owner is a welcome change. Six of us did a motorcycle run to Boone. After a long two days of biking to get there, the owner actually made Quick trip to get us a six pack of beer, and it was very appreciated! I would have given this five stars but for those who need internet, the Wi-Fi on the cabins is a little slow. I would not hesitate to stay again!

Well, if you like windows that don't lock, a door that opened ( I guess on its own) in the middle of the night , and a ceiling fan that made a constant, loud whirring noise and looked like it was not firmly attached to the ceiling, this is your place!

The owner Juanita was kind to me, lending me a cooler. I could not get into Grandfather Mountain and she suggested I hike Linville Falls that afternoon as the weather was turning bad- hurricane level winds and rain coming that night and in the morning when I woke. I appreciated that and did the hike. Juanita does not take credit cards, and I had to go, while out, and get cash from an ATM- I had made a phone reservation and was not told this. Juanita did not bring me coffee the next day as she did another reviewer and does not have any available in the office. There is no microwave or frig in the room- it is important for people to realize this. There is no ice available. While traveling solo on a budget, price is a major consideration for me I think I would pay a little more and stay someplace with some basic amenities the next time. Wifi is free with no password. My alarm on my cell phone stopped working shortly after I logged on- don't know if phone was hacked but just saying- not a secure wifi.
