This place looks run down outside and inside. Only one of the outlets worked, the carpet was VERY filthy, there were cigarette holes in the pillows, the bathtub had mold and dirt everywhere. Definitely would NOT recommend. The only good thing is there was a newer TV in there, and the AC unit worked well with keeping the room cold. Also, if you book online the manager there said that their online service tends to overbook on rooms so be sure to call and make sure your reservation had been confirmed.

This hotel is the only one in the area. It is very rundown and shabby but this is reflected in the cheap rate. The staff were helpful and friendly. The whole place needs to be renovated. The toilet was running on and off all night - annoying. The breakfast was the usual offering expected from a budget hotel. The external staircase was disgusting - dirty and littered with cigarette butts and rubbish.

We had a lot of friends with us visiting the area. Great small town and close to many things to do. The hotel is in okay shape. They keep the rooms clean. The beds are comfortable. I spoke to the owner, The Patels, in depth. They are very nice people and are working hard to improve the hotel. They said the week after they already had plans and scheduled to start projects. Every staff member we spoke with were very friendly and willing to help. Thanks for the great visit and we will come again.

My family and I had to come to Pilot due to a death in the family. Econo Lodge is the closest hotel to where we needed to be, so that's where we stayed. The room is nothing to write home about. It was a typical standard hotel room. The beds were comfy, the tv worked, it was clean, and had a decent view of Pilot Mountain right out the window. The morning breakfast had something that everyone could enjoy. The Wi-Fi wasn't the greatest and we found a few bugs, but other than that everything was fine. If you're looking for an extravagant hotel to stay at for a family vacation this isn't the place for you but if you need a place to lay your head at night, this place is perfect.
