Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel is ideally located on each side of the stairway which leads to the village. The rooms are nicely situated in small houses around this stairway and the pool, which conveys to this hotel a village vibe. We were 2 families, totalling 10 people including 6 kids, and stayed during one week. Rooms are simply decorated, yet super clean, the bedding is of good quality, and everything is very well maintained. The staff was super friendly with us, day and night, always trying to accommodate our needs as a relatively large (and sometimes demanding) group. I also want to mention the resident and neighbouring dogs, as well as cats, which provided endless play for our kids. The hotel is a great place to navigate the island. Indeed motor transportation is needed which can be tough to book during the summer season (taxis and car rentals). Public buses cover a number of destinations in the islands, and we also rented some scooters, which was fun. For hikers a number of trails go through Apollonia to reach various points of the islands.

Less like staying at a hotel, more like staying with friends in their stunning village setting. Laid back, relaxing and friendly in a brilliant location with amazing views. The small pool is the focal point and somewhere to cool off. Service is low key which adds to the relaxing atmosphere - although lunch is available and drinks before heading out for dinner. A healthy breakfast was an excellent start to the days - and you could order fresh eggs if you wanted.
Great jacuzzi too! We had two rooms - both simply furnished in a Greek island style, kept spotlessly clean.
Sifnos is an amazing island and this is the place I would stay on a repeat visit. Loved it.

A really welcoming hotel with a nice swimming pool and offering views of the surrounding countryside and local villages. Great breakfast served on a shaded terrace with lots of choice and fresh local ingredients. The staff are helpful and can arrange free transport to and from the port. The room was nicely presented and equipped with mosquito screens to allow fresh air without the bites! Buses to the rest of the island are available from Apollonia, a 10-minute stroll downhill from the hotel. The only slight issue we had was the lack of snacks due to it being early June, so a trek either downhill to Apollonia or up to Artemonas was necessary. Highly recommended hotel

We have stayed at the Petali many times and view it as our home from home. Situated overlooking the little capital Apollonia, the views are quite spectacular and yet close to all amenities, cafes and restaurants. All rooms and suites have their own balcony or terrace to sit and relax and look across the valley. A lovely pool on the terrace and the beaches are not too far away by bus, taxi or hire car. The Petali’s owner, George, runs this hotel with a lot of love and charm and his staff can’t do enough. We will keep coming back, that’s for sure.

We very much enjoyed our recent stay. The breakfasts overlooking Apollonia were wonderful and we enjoyed being just minutes away from walking into Apollonia for a casual wander and for some excellent meals. You are also just a short walk away from Artemonas and a short drive to Kastro. Great location. We also appreciated the restaurant recommendations from Zisis. We would certainly return.

Zisis was over the top the best hotel manager ever! Very clean and comfortable rooms. Gorgeous views while eating breakfast on their porch patio. Fresh fruits, eggs cooked to order and delicious yogurt. A nice walk down into town for dinners. We loved our stay here. This is what dreams are made of!

Georgios and his family and team made us thoroughly welcome st this delightful hotel. We had to wait 2 years, thanks to Covid but it was well worthwhile. Our room was lovely and clean, with a balcony and view across to Paxos and other islands. The pool is big enough for a refreshing swim and surrounded by comfortable loungers, chairs and tables. Breakfast is served on a terrace with a breathtaking view. Especial thanks to Bellos Zisis, who took great care of us throughout our stay. We have been to many Greek islands and Sifnos is one of the very best. Great, little sandy beaches and pretty towns and villages. There are some great restaurants and tavernas. Some traditional but many with a delicious modern twist. Some of the best food we have enjoyed in Greece. We will be back!

Nice place but mediocre rooms unrelated to the promise of the web site: We booked 2 adjacent rooms for 4 nights with our children with a countryside and sea view. Finally, we had non-adjacent rooms, no sea view and one with a view of a parking lot. Poor quality service with the inability to change rooms despite the 8 nights booked. In short , poor value for money....... Pity !

Dear Sir, The pity is the poison some people like you are dropping, instead of enjoy their holidays. Before you express your nice comment there were hundreds of other who visited the hotel and found it nice ,especially the staff service. We did our best to serve you and offered you all the facilities even free of charge transfers. All you keep telling us is that the rooms you stayed are not up to the standards you expected because of the view. The one room has an excellent view to the villages and partially view of the sea. The other room has village view. The distance between the 2 rooms was 10 mtrs and as we explained many times there is no standard double adjusted to a superior triple room so we found the nearest possible. We never provided you room with obstacle or other buildings in front or lower than the ground level, both rooms have their own balcony higher than ground at least 2 mtrs and finally we never gave a room with less expectation and unrelated to our web site description.. In these difficult days we live, it's absolutely understandable the people to be depressed and unhappy,but usually going on vacation they are relaxed and happy , in contrary to you. God bless you and keep you and your family safe ,healthy and happy.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Petali Village. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, a lovely atmosphere, they couldn’t do enough for us. The pool was great and sitting in the jacuzzi overlooking the mountains was such a treat. Lovely food for breakfast and lunch. There was a welcome walk up to the hotel from the centre to walk off dinner. V comfy beds. We will definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work!

We had a lovely stay at Petali Village. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. They helped organize a wonderful private tour of the island for us, in addition to transportation to the ferry. A great breakfast too!
