It's always difficult to choose a place to stay in a new area, but we really lucked out this time. Our hostess, Donna, was very helpful and accommodating. The historic inn is quaint and charming. The room and bed were very clean and very comfortable. We are always concerned about location, but the town is very small, so most of... More

I have been coming here for 10+years. It still is one of the most charming B&B's on the island. It has a great location whicih is walkable to all the shops and restaurants, and the beach is just a very short drive away. It has lovely porches and great rockers, and the ambience oozes charm. Do enjoy!

Stayed at the Thurston House this past weekend. First thing that you will notice is how informal and friendly the family is that runs the facility. Don't be surprised to see grandkids running around or kids toys in the main room. The room itself was nice. It was a bit on the small side more like a hotel room but... More

Ms Donna the proprietor was nothing less than fabulous. Friendly, open, easy to talk to. Food was homemade to order. Took time to answer all our questions we had about Island. I did some surf fishing and forgot my bait bucket, she provided me one right away. The rooms were clean, furnished with beach decor and very quite. Could have... More

I recently stayed at the Thurston House while on vacation and it was very delightful to say the least. When I made the reservation I selected them only because they had a King Bed available and the others did not. It turned out to be a good choice because the place is tucked away into the trees, very quiet and... More

This was our first experience at a B&B. We stayed at Thurston House for 2 nights and really had a great time. The food was excellent and the porch swing is the best seat in the house. It was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. No more hotels for us!

My husband and I had such a delightful time at this bed and breakfast. The room was perfectly clean. We enjoyed being in a different house than where breakfast was served so that the mornings we nice and quiet. The bed was comfortable. We never heard any other guest leave or arrive even though they were full to capacity. Breakfast... More

Inn has two separate buildings and we did not stay in the main building. Our room, Sandpiper, was pretty nice and very clean but the WiFi did not reach there. Tried it with two mobiles and one tablet and it just did not work. In fact, we had to get out of the building before the signal was ok. Location... More

I had a wonderful four night stay here! My room was pretty, comfy and cozy, and clean as can be. The breakfasts were yummy-especially the sweet potato pancakes. The location is terrific! An easy walk to everything, yet secluded and peaceful. Talking with Donna was lots of fun. Her famous fig cake is a delicious treat. I wouldn't have changed... More

I was skeptical of staying at a b&b however, The Thurston House Inn was amazing and has set a high standard for b&b's to follow! The owners and family are so sweet! They make you feel right at home and kindly answer any tourist-y questions you may have. Yet, after breakfast is over and everyone is finished chatting, you definitely... More
