My friend and I were on a road trip and I can't say enough good things about our experience here. We called last minute around 8 am and by the time we arrived about 2 hours later they had a room ready for us and we were checked in. It's a charming little place and so CLEAN...in fact of all the places we stayed on this 10 day trip, including some big name (more expensive) hotels, this was by far the cleanest and best maintained room. Rooms have been completely updated including tile floors and fun, beach decor. I was so impressed I took some pics! Thank you John and Buffy for welcoming us into the Oak Island Inn family and helping us out with great places to eat and things to see! We will be back!!

A family owned and operated motel. Cozy and and very clean. Although not on the ocean it’s within walking distance so you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets or you can sit in the chairs on the porch and enjoy the company of the other guests and staff.

My husband and I stayed here this weekend. When I say the owners are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as nice as possible… that would be an understatement. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned and if there any issues at all.. they do not hesitate to be at your door within minutes. I do believe this will be our new place to stay when we visit Oak Island. I really enjoyed this trip!

My Wife was searching for a last minute Father's Day weekend trip to the area and ran across this motel. We have driven by it many, many times and never gave it a thought. The pics of the rooms looked good, and the price was reasonable, so we took a chance. Glad we did. The room was nicely remodeled and very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. We will be back for sure.

My wife and I were at Oak Island for the weekend and stayed at the Oak Island Inn. I met John & Buffy Narcice and their daughter who helps run the place. They take alot of pride in caring for this place and it really shows. Great place to stay. Highly recommend! John is a fellow alumni of Marshall University. Really enjoyed meeting and talking with him.

The Owners have disapeared and a new person has taken over. A bit cold reception and doesn't know how things work. It s a shame that a compromised property is now reduced to a lower level of service. I wish it was the same.

Our experience was amazing! This family owned business is family. The rooms all have the beach decor. Very clean. Short walk to the beach, the beach is beautiful. The pool was great after a day at the beach! This is our 3rd stay here. Planning on going again next year.

We always look for the perfect Mom and Pop's motel and this is it!!! The rooms are VERY clean and John and Buffy (the owners) make sure of it! We love the hospitality and family environment. THIS is the only place we stay when we come down and we come down several times through the year. For someone to find something wrong with this motel they would have to be knick pickers. It is NOT the Hilton and nor do they say that it is...but I can promise you, you will enjoy your stay! We will be back soon!

It was not what we had expected based on the photos on Facebook. We arrived staff was nice enough but, it is and older hotel that has been remodeled but, it atmosphere and what we saw was not very appealing. We enter the room and the walls had been redone in wood paneling and beds and decor was ok but, the floor look dirty with marks and there was a smell that was overwhelming and I could hardly breathe. Outside the room they had chairs with tables with silver pots for smokers and the whole area smelled like cirgarette smoke. The grass around the outside of the building was not cut and had growth and the surrounding look junkie to me. A view of the pool water didnt like clear and clean kinda of greenish cloudy, Very unhappy with the hotel and decided not to stay due to my health issues and breathing. The owner was nice and was working with us to refund part of the money still waiting for it to go back into out account. If you wanna have a relaxing vacation I would not recommend here you will have to drive to beach and they have more work to do to make it a desirable place to stay.

Our experience was fantastic. From the very first phone call till the end of our stay the owners and their nephew did everything in their power to make sure our stay was satisfactory. I had a 10 month old child and a dog in tow, and they still made sure I had everything I needed regardless of the time. The room was super clean, and they even provided a broom in the room as well. Which was huge when you brought sand in from the beach, which we all know is impossible to prevent. The pool was very clean and well maintained. I honestly can not say enough good things about this place. Would definitely stay again!
