Our group has stayed in Hanna House annually for several years. Camille and Joe are wonderful hosts who go over and beyond caring for their guests. Camille does her best to let people in the community know about our concert that ends our stay each year. The house is a beautiful old New Bern home which is wonderfully kept. We look forward to coming down to the wonderful breakfasts that Camille serves each morning. She has a huge selection of items from which to choose. And when our day was done, we wondered what would be under the glass in the living room for us to enjoy with a glass of sherry. Can't wait for our next visit. Thank you Camille and Joe!
Immaculately clean and kept up. There is sherry and delicious spice cake in the evening as well as complimentary bottled water. The breakfast is out of this world. It’s extremely quiet and low key as you’d expect at a B&B and no tv in the room.
I would like to take a moment to respond to Kathy H and her unfair review of Camille and Joe who run the Hannah House. My family has been raising money for the MS Society and riding in the New Bern MS Ride for the past 11 years. We have stayed at the Hannah House every year as it is a great Inn with a fantastic breakfast, excellent service and close proximity to the start of the ride. This is a charity event that draws thousands of riders who raise funds to help those who are battling this horrible debilitating disease. This year, the MS organization moved the event to the end of the month rather than the 1st weekend. Hotels are extremely difficult to find during the event and Camille has graciously held our room for us every year knowing we would be coming back. They have seen my two boys grow up through the years and have become like family to us! We exchange Christmas cards!! I am grateful to Camille and Joe for looking out for us and retaining our reservation for this event weekend. They are truly special people. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g49389-d777006-r731923056-Hanna_House_Bed_Breakfast-New_Bern_North_Carolina.html?m=19905…
We had a great time in New Bern, walked for days exploring the area and trying out the restaurants. The Hanna House is a great location, we parked the car and never moved it until ready to leave. Accommodations were wonderful - comfortable bed, friendly owners and gourmet breakfasts. We truly enjoyed talking with the owners about their property and looking at all of the antiques throughout the house. Would definitely recommend if you need a place to stay in New Bern and will stay again when we return.
Hanna house us beautiful, clean and a short walk to all of downtown New Bern. Joe and Camille were excellent hosts. The breakfast was amazing. We will look forward to returning here. Also a short walk to Tryon palace
