Outstanding location in historic downtown New Bern, close to the waterfront and all of the popular tourist attractions and restaurants. Beautifully restored house with very nice guest rooms and great bathrooms. While almost all B&Bs harp about their "gourmet" breakfasts, Hanna House really delivers -- we had a list of more than a dozen incredible entrees to choose from, all with home-made bread courtesy of Joe, and many with delicious sauces courtesy of Camille (one of us had eggs florentine , while another had french toast stuffed with caramelized apples and topped with creme brule & creme anglais sauces!) And the innkeepers are a wealth of knowledge concerning the New Bern area, it was a delight talking with Camille about New Bern history! Highly recommended as THE place to stay in New Bern!…
We stayed two short nights in this wonderful, wonderful home. We will be back as soon as we can...incredible breakfasts, hosts, town, and a wonderful bed. Tranquility defined! We ordered our breakfast the night before from a menu that had two dozen full, gourmet breakfasts. The coffee was wonderful, so wonderful that we went to the local roaster where Camille and Joe get their coffee beans from.
We stayed one night and everything was great. We could walk to dinner and the downtown. In the morning I did the River walk before breakfast which you choose from an extensive menu the day before. Breakfast was fabulous, well worth the visit.
Camille and joe have created a great place to stay. rooms are spotless and quiet. we stayed in the Lincoln room and found it to be a very relaxing room. then there is breakfast . I believe there are about a dozen choices for breakfast. You fill out your request the night before. You also pick your time to eat.The location is walking distance to many shops and restaurants. New Bern is a neat town with a lot of history.Almost forgot Lucy the Airedale greets you . First Class at a reasonable price. Have a drink of sherry and some homemade chocolate cake can't beat that
We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable B&B. Friendly folks, comfortable room and great breakfast. We especially liked ability to choose between wide variety of items and time for breakfast. It's a winner.
