Let me preface this review by saying that my family are not hotel/ motel snobs in any way and we don’t usually stay in 5 star accommodations when we travel. Also, I knew this was an older motel and that it wasn’t a palace and we were fine with that. However, we were told we were going to be in one room (I attached an email showing that) but when we arrived, we were out in a different room and when I inquired about it I was told the owners came and “that is their room” and they were given the room we were told we would have. No one called or emailed us to notify us of this change whatsoever and I would have expected that at least. I don’t know many places that wouldn’t at least let the person know they had changed their accommodations. I will also add that we changed the dates from what we originally had scheduled and the manager offered to “upgrade our room” which was nice, but then that turned out not to be true. Beyond that, the room we were given is less than nice to say the least. The tv doesn’t work, there are no plug ins in the bathroom at all (I realize this is probably because it’s an older building) and I won’t go into all the details about the beds and the shower, but they’re not great at all. Definitely needs some upgrades and I’m surprised that in all theses years they haven’t done more to make it at least somewhat more modern but oh well. I’m just saying everyone has their standards so do your research and be aware of what you’re paying for. At $180 per night, it’s just not really worth it.

I called her she said that there were rooms available and then I canceled and then I called back told her I take it she said I said something I didn't say it she put me on a no rent list and I've stayed there a couple of times before and I think this person needs to really be corrected the date is May May 4th 2021 she was very rude disrespectful and I would not recommend this place to anyone

You just need to go into this motel with the right expectations; this is NOT a 5-star all-service hotel. This is an older, budget motel in need of some repairs. However, the rooms are clean, the staff were polite in the limited interactions I had with them, and of course, the beach is always amazing. The motel itself is cool becuase it was built in the 1950s and appears to have had only the minimum repairs done to it. It is an interesting mix of old and new. How they're handling COVID: When we talked booked our room, the lady on the phone told us that they only provide soap, toilet paper, and trash bags. You need to provide linens, towels (both bath and beach), paper towels, napkins, etc. Guests are expected to social distance with other guests; they don't walk around enforcing that. They let you work that out yourself, which easy since the stairs, walkways, pool, etc. is outside. We were able to maintain our social distance at all times and felt very safe. They are not allowing guests in the office, but you can go right up to the screen doors and talk to them that way if you need to. This motel is good for an "unplugged" vacation. Every evening, the internet went out around 8pm and didn't come back on until morning. Overall, a good budget motel.

I'll start with the pro's to be positive. Location sits right in the sand, awsome beach, great pool. Cons Spent the 1st day trying to get an AC to work, after 3 different units finally got a good one. You can't take a shower without getting scalded or or froze repeatedly, absolutely can't set the temp. I had small children and it was scary. I really love a simple vintage atmosphere but Seafoam is becoming a vintage dump. The place is just falling down, its sad. Been coming here 25 years and now it's not being taken care of. It needs money invested. Tell me if you think this room is worth $175.85 before tax. With tax $198.27 ??? Oh yea, the day before we came they called and asked us to bring all our own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. Of course a discount wasn't offered. 😡

Hi Billiej0t, I am truly sorry you had the experience you did when you were in our care. None of what you encountered is acceptable. I wanted to let you know we are now under new management and the Sea Foam is updating and fixing every single issue it had. I hope you will consider giving us another chance. I know that the changes we are making are making a vast improvement compared to when you were in our care last. (oh and you no longer need to bring your own linens and bedding...that was really stupid) Have a GREAT day and I hope to see you again soon

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. We had a 2nd story efficiency with a great oceanfront view. Could not have been more pleased with the room or the view. We made use of the small kitchen to prepare meals and only got take out for one meal the entire time we were there. The staff is super friendly and the location cannot be beat. I will definitely try to come back next year.
