The whole staff was great. The room was so clean! Great rates and I was super comfortable. This feels like a family run business that is run well by people that care. 10/10 will stay again. I have spent more money on a worse room so this place is a gem.
We stayed at the Bryson Inn twice in January as a stopping point between Pittsburgh and Georgia. The young lady who checked us in during both stays was very friendly. Our rooms were spotless and beds were comfortable. The breakfast served by Angie was very good. The Inn is conveniently located off the highway for travelers and also close to the Andy Griffith Museum. We highly recommend staying here!
We checked in yesterday evening and loved the rooms but the customer service was subpar. There were two women checking us in and one was very nice and attentive but the other was on a personal phone call. She barely even looked at us when we came in and there was definitely no greeting from her. If I was the manager I would train my employees to pay more attention to the guests and less attention to those stupid cell phones.
This is an older property but it is impeccably maintained. I spent 50+ years in the construction business and my eye never fails to notice even the smallest deficiencies. In the room I had I could not find any. Everything worked. The locks, the faucets, the shower, the toilet, the drains, the TV, the AC. No peeling wallpaper, no rust stains in the toilets, no missing light bulbs. Everything was as we desire a room to be but seldom find in the entirety. The linens and furnishings were not top shelf but they were exceptionally clean and sound. The room did not have a desk so I had to sit on the bed while using my laptop. My Wi-Fi reception was good. The room was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The common areas could probably be described as somewhat Spartan but once again they were very clean and everything worked. The breakfast wasn't as extensive as many places; your choices were waffles or biscuits and gravy or fruit. But, the friendliness and southern charm of the hostess definitely made up for the dearth of choices. This place certainly impressed me. The good price was just frosting on the excellent cake. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that didn't impress me as much as this place did. Kudos to the owners, management, and staff. They are doing an exceptional job.…
Clean but dated. Fine for a one night stay on a road trip. The four star rating is based on the price paid - clean and comfortable for an extremely reasonable rate. Everything worked, the towels were plush, the bed was reasonably comfortable. The breakfast was limited but good quality. On the other hand, the decor was super dated, the two chairs in the room not only didn’t match, they weren’t from the same era, the walls bed repairs, and the bathroom was extremely cramped. And, make sure you bring your own toiletries. Those provided are low quality. I would stay here again if the price is reasonable.
Spent a single night on our way to Charleston, SC from Ohio. Staff were kind, room and lobby/dining area exceptionally clean, great value. Coffee and hot chocolate offered all day and a free breakfast offered. Would be fit to have some fruit…like bananas.
Amazing experience for the price! Literally surpasses any discount motel. I'm still in awe! Clean, friendly and helpful staff, easy access too highway. Approx. 8 miles to Mayberry / Mt. Ary and a short distance to Pilot Mountain. The room was clean, King size bed with soft bedding and pillows. Had a microwave and mini fridge, writing desk, 2 sitting chairs. Very big tv with cable and HBO. Ironing board and iron. Hair dryer also provided. Bathroom was clean, so clean my husband even took a bath. Had a coffee machine as well as 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Free breakfast was actually made by staff.... Waffles or biscuits and sausage. Breakfast was allowed to be brought back to your room too. Huge plus. I understand there's also a pool but didn't partake given it was probably closed in November. Check in and out was easy, convenient. Don't let the location next to a truck stop deter you. What a hidden gem! With the savings, I suggest leaving a nice big tip for the cleaning people. Let's pass it on! …
Classic 2 story motel. Older rooms, older furnishings, but large and well kept. Very clean. Very helpful, friendly, and accommodating staff. Convenient to Mt. Airy and main routes. Nice breakfast for a motel. Would stay again.
I was overjoyed with our stay at the Bryson. I confess, when we entered the driveway near a truckstop I was expecting a noisy room. The room was quiet, clean, cheerfully decorated and the accessible bathroom was spacious with numerous grab bars and a full vanity. When I say cheerful, I mean happy buttery yellow walls with appropriate lighting and fixtures. The staff was cheerful and helpful. Breakfast is available including hot items such as waffles, biscuits and gravy. Surprise, the lady attending the breakfast room prepared our breakfast and served us at our table. They have an outdoor heated pool and it is accessible. The price was very reasonable. We have paid much more for much less. I would not hesitate to stay again.
I was very happy with our stay!!! Our room was spotless and super comfortable beds and pillows. Staff was friendly snd attentive and Breakfast was great. Would highly recommend!!! We stayed in room 207
