Formerly a Best Western, now independent. It’s an older property, but it looks like it’s been renovated. My room (210) was clean and spacious. Bathroom was good, water was hot. Plentiful parking. Excellent location.

Overall 5/5 Room 5/5 Value 5/5 Wifi 4/5

Cons: wifi was good in the evening but a bit slow in the morning, for no apparent reason. No microwave in the room. The one chair in the room wasn’t comfortable.

This 2.5 star motel shines like a 4 star! The rooms are spotless. Paint and fixtures are what you would hope for but not expect.
Soap & shampoo dispensers in the bathtub, along with a timed heat lamp to keep you warm. Comfy bed and sheets that appear new.
The continental breakfast offers fresh waffles or biscuits and gravy…all prepared by a friendly staff member.
I highly recommend The Bryson Inn!

We booked 2 rooms. Jackie at front desk made it so easy for us at check in after leaving another hotel that was roach infested. This hotel is worth every penny and was about 30 dollars a night cheaper.

. We came to this hotel based on all the good reviews. They must have paid people to do those reviews. My husband and I are well-traveled so maybe we expected more but this was a huge disappointment.

THE GOOD - comfortable bed, breakfast attendant was very pleasant, water pressure in the shower was great, and was very close to the interstate that we needed.

THE BAD - They don't adhere to COVID practices. We had no soap or shampoo, only large containers everyone else used. Should have walked out.
The room was sort of dingy, and lighting was poor. Maybe they keep the lighting poor so don't see just how dingy it is. There was no where comfortable to sit in the room. This was strictly a sleeping room. There was a black bug crawling in the bathtub when we went to take a shower. We only had two washcloths and one I wouldn't dream of using. It was stained and discolored. Breakfast was poor and attendant would wait on you. They had waffles and biscuits with no sausage in gravy.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, and this place has to be one of the cleanest, or the most clean I’ve stayed. The room smelled clean, the bath towels were clean and white, the tub n sink n toilet n walls n ceiling n bed linen n a/c n chairs were clean! No dust/ dirt! External doors, no microwave/ no elevator/ no dolly to bring in travel goods; has a clean refrigerator, ironing board/ iron (clean), dispenser shampoo and good smelling body wash, along with unscented soap, items. Big tv w/ appx. 60 channels. Within 10 miles of everything Andy Griffith/ Mayberry. Good room lighting, shower water pressure… up a hill from a truck-stop & BP gas, n quick access to 77. CLEAN! Looks like the pictures n comfortable beds! No pets, no smoking!

This hotel is right next to a truck stop so we thought it might be noisy, but it was pretty quiet. The room was very clean. The shower was nice and the towels were a good size. There were soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower but also wrapped bar soap. There was a table and chair to sit down. We had a comfortable night's stay.

After reading the reviews, I booked a room here. The room was quite large. The bedding was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were spotless. I couldn't hear traffic. Staff were friendly and pleasant from reserving a room to checkout. There's a country-style restaurant across the road where I enjoyed a meal for less than $10. If I could make a suggestion, it would be that the lightbulbs inside the door be a little brighter. I had to walk to the bathroom to turn on a light that was bright enough for me to find switches on the table lamps. All in all, I slept well and felt safe.

There were four families that stopped at Bryson Inn on the way to Topsail Beach. Our rooms were very clean with ample room. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The outside large pool and the very large pool apron was perfect for swimming and to enjoy the dinner we had ordered and had delivered. The complementary breakfast was small but had everything needed for a continental breakfast, including waffle irons. The price was outstanding and we would stop again when we are in the area.

Amazing experience for the price! Literally surpasses any discount motel. I'm still in awe! Clean, friendly and helpful staff, easy access too highway. Approx. 8 miles to Mayberry / Mt. Ary and a short distance to Pilot Mountain. The room was clean, King size bed with soft bedding and pillows. Had a microwave and mini fridge, writing desk, 2 sitting chairs. Very big tv with cable and HBO. Ironing board and iron. Hair dryer also provided. Bathroom was clean, so clean my husband even took a bath. Had a coffee machine as well as 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Free breakfast was actually made by staff.... Waffles or biscuits and sausage. Breakfast was allowed to be brought back to your room too. Huge plus. I understand there's also a pool but didn't partake given it was probably closed in November. Check in and out was easy, convenient. Don't let the location next to a truck stop deter you. What a hidden gem! With the savings, I suggest leaving a nice big tip for the cleaning people. Let's pass it on!

Stopped here late at night for an overnight stay on our way to the coast. Very well priced and easy to get to. A couple of gas stations right beside the location makes for a nice option should you need to fuel up before taking back off or grab anything for the road.
Unfortunately I did not get the young ladies name working the front desk when we arrived but she was very nice and very friendly. The room is dated but very clean and the bed and pillows were very soft.
Highly recommend and would stay here again.

In rooms with King Beds we have Micro/fridge, some of a double Queen beds have fridge, you would need to request a 2 queen with fridge if that is what you need, but no microwaves are in a 2 queen rooms.

Most of these questions would be answered by the hotel staff. I used points for the room, but they waited until I got there to process the request. You log in to the Best Western Site to make the reservation under your rewards number. Or call the 800 number on the back of your Rewards card to make the reservation. They will swipe your card when you get there. The hotel is very close to I-77. I was heading North, got off I-77 and it was right there. You can check the rates online too. Very helpful staff when I was there.
