We had the best day ever with our grandaughter at Andy B's at Branson Landing! Lots of fun for value and amazing staff. Andy Gonzoles is the best manager ever. Staff was so accommodating and pleasant. Must do if visiting Branson!

We drove to Andys childhood home not knowing what to expect. Thought maybe it was set up as a museum but it was not. Actually it is a rental that you can stay at booking through a local Hotel. (Not sure Which). Anyway it was nice just to sit there for a moment and think back to those days, good ole days that is. The house sits in an active neighborhood so wqe took a picture or two and went about our business.

Since the home place is a rental, touring was not offered. Privacy signs were posted Do Not Ring Doorbell. Even thought it is listed at the museum on a map. I would recommend giving privacy and not stop.

While visiting Mt Airy, my wife and I spent two nights at Andy Griffiths childhood home. How cool is it to set in the living room and watch episodes of the Andy Griffith Show on the DVD'S provided?? The house itself is very modest and furnished with furniture and appliances reminiscent of the 1960s. However, we didn't stay there for the luxury, we stayed for the atmosphere and the opportunity to stay in a legends childhood home. The location is great and the Hampton Inn staff is terrific. If we ever come back to Mt Airy, we would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend.

While in Mt. Airy, we took the opportunity to visit Andy Griffith's home place. It was easy to find on Google maps and is easily accessible for pictures and close to the road. However, the house is available for vacation rentals. So, there is a sign outside asking you to respect the privacy of anyone who may be staying there. I could see from the roadside that it was decorated inside just as it would've been when Andy was a child, much like Opie's room in the tv show.

Thank you for visiting the Andy Griffith Home Place. It is a very popular place. It is available for rent through the Hampton Inn Mount Airy. The house is a two bedroom house with a full size bed in each bedroom. There is one bathroom, living room kitchen and dining area. All appliances are included. The cost to rent the house is $175.00 per night plus tax during non event days and $200.00 per night plus tax during event days. If someone would like to rent it they can contact us at 1-800-565-5249 DO NOT press an option, hold on the line a Guest Service Representative will be happy to assist. We do try to keep the house as authentic as possible so if you like that look then you love the house but for guest that like the more modern lodging accommodations they may not be comfortable in the house. Sincerely, Lenise Lynch General Manager
