Stayed there 3- night while on a motorcycle tour of the areas and was very happy. The room was neat and clean and they had a great covered location for motorcycle parking. Best of all, the management there was wonderful. Their restaurant wasn't open during my stay as it was undergoing renovations, so I'll be looking forward to dining there on my next visit.
Kind of a last minute booking but from the time I talked to the guy on the phone til the time I left the next day this place has my thumbs up. Very pleased with everything and I will be back. I frequently end up in these parts because I have kids here. I know the area pretty well and this was a great experience!! Great spot!!
If each room was equipped with a compact fridge and stove it would be like an efficency apartment. That's how nice the rooms are. They need a better maintenance person, the hot water is cold and the cold is hot.
We have stayed here a few times before. I always complained that the mattresses needed updated and I am please to announce they have been. They are memory foam mattresses and very comfortable. The rooms were very clean, staff was friendly. There is a deck with table and chairs, that is along the creek to sit and enjoy the evening. They have a fire ring and ample fire wood to start a fire and cornhold boards. There is covered parking area for motorcycle riders along with rags and supplies for cleaning your bike. The restaurant has changed hands and we didn't get to sample it due to closing at 6 pm on Sunday evening, when we were checking in.
Old camp charm - but the emphasis is on old. Hallways were old, noisy, and people walking down the hallway would shake our room. Also, NO HOT WATER - None! We called the office repeatedly- nobody answered. We went to the office at 7:30 AM - NOBODY THERE. We left a note explaining our dissatisfaction and got NO RESPONSE from the motel management. The place is a B.S. operation and should be avoided.
