This is a basic cottage with in need of some repair. Considering the rates, it was well worth the price. It is pet friendly and the owners are nice and go out of their way to please their guests. Great place to go to and visit other areas that are within a short distance.

Excellent Motel . First thing this Motel is the most welcoming cozy place I have ever stayed. The couple that own and operate it and live on property are super friendly folks that do everything they can do to give you the best possible stay. The Motel is Very Clean with modern amenities & double size rooms. The flowers are wonderful... More

Nice friendly owners. Clean. Reasonably priced. No maid service. Will exchange towels or get you what you need. Little noisy since hotel is near road. Offer to walk or let out your pet while you are away. Older one story hotel. Comfortable bed.

If you are travelling to this area with your dog, and want a clean, inexpensive place to sleep and use as a base camp, you won't go wrong with the Alamo Motel. They are truly dog lovers, and even offered to dog sit with our furry child while we went to dinner. The room was adequate and clean, not at... More

Our family went on a last minute spring break trip to a Maggie Valley. The cottage we stayed in was very clean. We had everything we needed and Mike was more than happy to get us whatever we might need or answer any of our questions about the area. The laid back atmosphere was perfect for our 3 older children.... More

What can I say...I've reviewed mostly large chain hotels where I've been, but this place deserves to be talked about too. My wife works in medical, and after spending twelve days on, and being diagnosed with high blood pressure to boot, I wanted to treat her to a quiet weekend in the Smokies. Trust me, the Alamo did not disappoint.... More

My husband and I stay at The Alamo Motel& Cottages when we go to Maggie Valley. We usually get the cottage with 2 beds, kitchen, bath, living room in with 1 bedroom. Always clean, beautiful beds. It is so nice to go two. They accept pets also. They are friendly, the grounds are taken care of. There is a small... More

We had planned to drive home (almost 3 hour drive) after the Greg Allmond show in January at the casino, but weather was really bad, almost icy, so I called Mike and Dawn and they had our room nice and toasty when we got there. They are the best and the motel was so quaint and cute and most important... More

Thank you for your hospitality Dawn and Mike. We were looking for a pet friendly place to stay as we were passing through. Found just that. Lots of suggestions for food and recreation from the hosts. We love Maggie Valley.

We had the best time here and Dawn and Mike were excellent hosts. The place is SPOTLESS! Every request was met with enthusiastic help. They gave us ideas on things to do, restaurants to eat at. Dawn loves dogs and she gave our pooches little treats every time she saw them. We will DEFINITELY be back next year!
