Absolutely delicious fresh home cooked meals. Ginger is fabulous and Tracey finds the freshest vegetables around. Tomato pie is to die for!!! Gorgeous views of the mountains. Bring your own bottle. A must for locals and visitors! Can't wait to go again!!

We had our wedding weekend at Smokey Shadows Lodge and it was perfect. We rented the entire lodge and both cabins for friday and saturday. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the place was. Ginger and Tracy and their friends prepared a BBQ feast and our friends are still talking about the tomato pie. We will definitely be... More

Held my husband's 80th birthday dinner here, some of our dinner guests weren't local, and stayed at the Lodge. They spoke very highly of the comfortable atmosphere. Tracey cooked an incredible dinner and all of our guests loved it.

Visited for our wedding and honeymoon in November of 2005. Was lucky enough to reserve the entire lodge and cabins for the big day. Had an amazing time, Bud and Ginger were great hosts. The food Ginger cooked up daily for supper was wonderful, the Tomato pie was my favorite part of the meal. Been back several times since, and... More

My husband and i went for our 25 anniversary and stayed in the shin dig cabin. It was very rustic but very comfortable the fridge broke and they replaced it promptly . There was no daily maid service but we enjoyed the coffee pot the bowl of fresh fruit and the peaceful porch with our private swing. The lodge served... More

We had 23 people stay in the lodge for 5 nights and we had a fantastic time! The lodge was amazing.....the stone, old wood and decorations provided an idyllic setting for relaxing with family. The highlight of the physical space is the long front porch with incredible mountain views and old log railings. Having access to the fully stocked kitchen... More

We rented the entire place and had full access to the kitchen and dining room. Enjoyed the beautiful views from the huge porch, Wheels through Time Museum and tubing in Cherokee. We had a... More

Mountain Cabin like it's supposed to be! We took 13 youth and 2 couples for a ski getaway. Upon our arrival Ms. Ginger, Ms. Tracey, and Ms. Diane were all there to greet us and give us all the info about the property and kitchen. If you don't feel welcomed here you need a check up, they are so friendly... More

We love this place. Authentic rustic awesome place. Beautiful views, old log cabin feel. Very pleasant staff. This place gets extra stars just for seclusion and atmosphere alone. I would normally withhold a star for just a few little things: no hair dryer and no creamer or sugar for the coffee in room, and just not having hot food for... More
