We are six couples who have been friends and members of a gourmet dinner group for more than 30 years. We spent 3 nights at the Lodge and totally enjoyed the atmosphere, the scenery, the warm hospitality, and the fantastic food (especially the tomato pie at dinner and the sausage gravy at breakfast). Everyone at the lodge makes you feel... More

Wonderful place at the top of a mountain to get way. Good food, great service and accommodating hosts. A little on the rustic side. No hair dryers in rooms so take your own. Common tables for breakfast so be prepared to meet new people. Fantastic view of the sunsets.

16 motorcycle lovers went to this lodge. Although the rooms were small and plain, the place was spotless! The food was FANTASTIC and the staff was EXCEPTIONAL. There was a long porch off the back desk that had an awesome view of the mountains. Since it rained for two out of the four days, we used the Great Room, back... More

Our stay was wonderful and so peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the little cabin which was quaint and decorated with comfort in mind. We enjoyed the little mini kitchen with coffeemaker and mini fridge to keep our yogurts and fruit cold. Sitting on the big lodge porch and the little cabins porch in rocking chairs was a highlight of... More

Absolutely delicious fresh home cooked meals. Ginger is fabulous and Tracey finds the freshest vegetables around. Tomato pie is to die for!!! Gorgeous views of the mountains. Bring your own bottle. A must for locals and visitors! Can't wait to go again!!

We had our wedding weekend at Smokey Shadows Lodge and it was perfect. We rented the entire lodge and both cabins for friday and saturday. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the place was. Ginger and Tracy and their friends prepared a BBQ feast and our friends are still talking about the tomato pie. We will definitely be... More

Held my husband's 80th birthday dinner here, some of our dinner guests weren't local, and stayed at the Lodge. They spoke very highly of the comfortable atmosphere. Tracey cooked an incredible dinner and all of our guests loved it.

Visited for our wedding and honeymoon in November of 2005. Was lucky enough to reserve the entire lodge and cabins for the big day. Had an amazing time, Bud and Ginger were great hosts. The food Ginger cooked up daily for supper was wonderful, the Tomato pie was my favorite part of the meal. Been back several times since, and... More

We had 23 people stay in the lodge for 5 nights and we had a fantastic time! The lodge was amazing.....the stone, old wood and decorations provided an idyllic setting for relaxing with family. The highlight of the physical space is the long front porch with incredible mountain views and old log railings. Having access to the fully stocked kitchen... More
