This campground is close to the county agricultural expo center so we gave it a try. You can see that it's an old campground Because the roads and sites look well worn but the new owners have updated the office area and the entrance and sidewalk to the recreation room/restrooms near the office. We were led to our site and... More

We stayed here one night here while travelling from Florida to D.C. Small and wonderful family run KOA campground. New owners are fixing it up and you can tell they are working hard to do that. Pool was great for the kids, our small dog enjoyed the fenced dog play area. The owners/staff were super friendly and pleasant! The store... More

This is the former Sleepy Bear RV park now owned by a very friendly couple and part of the KOA system. They already have refurbished the office building and have plans for numerous improvements of roads and facilities. It is an older campground but perfectly acceptable, with long spaces for big rigs and very convenient to highway 95. It is... More

New owners are starting to breath life into this old campground. These owners have a vision and are taking the right steps on long road ahead but they are the couple that can make it happen. For now, bathrooms need renovation and construction abounds. However you still get a great nights sleep for reasonable price just off I95. A first... More

The wife and I stayed here for 4 days on our way back home from Florida. The owners are on site and I saw them working daily for long hours re-doing the camp store and maintaining the grounds. This used to be a Jellystone campground and the prior owners just left the place fall apart. The new owners are fixing... More

It's close to I-95, but our site was a bit away, so OK as far as noise. The new owners were very friendly and helpful. Explained that they were trying to upgrade areas around the park, and it was clean from what we could see. We used our own bathroom, so can't comment on that. Only a couple of miles... More

Owner suggested we use bathroom in our RV since access to bathhouse prone to flooding, gave us wi-fi password, and escorted us to site. After hokking up, I went to bathouse to sh hands. Sinks crawling with black bugs. Dark and dingy. Told wife not to go. Attempted to connect to wi-fi. Message on all 4 connections said password invalid.... More

The South was hit by record rainfall during this time! As NEW owners we have been addressing many things here @ the NEW Lumberton/I-95 KOA. We have been totally honest & forthreit with all of our guests including you. We discovered during this record rainfall that this is an area within the park that HOLDS water, but it DOES NOT... When I was planning my trip from Florida to NY I wanted to stay at this new KOA but was a little gun-shy due to some of the bad reviews I had read. It's in a great spot just over the NC borber only a few miles from south of the border. The more I read I realized that this... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Under NEW Ownership!!! This park is at the beginning of a new era. We are excited & looking forward to meeting those who are previous visitors. As experience has taught both Rick & Cindy through miles traveled across this great & beautiful country in RV's, as well as owning a KOA campground, this park is a GREAT place for an overnight stay! That is why we now call this campground ours, & because the name speaks for itself, it made complete sense to convert this RV Park into a KOA Campground. A great stop when traveling on interstate 95, this is the halfway point between the State of Maine & Florida is what makes this park a perfect destination for RVer's to spend a night. This park has easy access on & off the interstate, as well as into the park. All large, level pull-thru sites with full hook ups, we offer 30amp & 50 amp sites. We Have FREE Wi-Fi that has been updated as of 10/12/15, over 30 local TV channels,NEWLY remodeled Laundry Room, handicap accessable pool, putt-put, & shuffle board. We are NEW owners who have previously owned another KOA park. We have owned this park for 3 months! ... more   less
