Can't wait to go back. Friendly staff. Always friends and kin folks there. Love the little small town of Littleton, NC, just a few miles away. Bigger more serious shopping only about 15 miles away in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Love that I can use my golf cart there. Always wanted to and the last few years they have allowed it.... More

My son and I tent camped at this resort for two days, one night (we cut our stay a little short with a severe storm approaching and no public cabins available for rent). It is the prettiest campground that I've ever been to. It was very easy to get around, and upon check-in, we were able to select our own... More

The place was nice, quiet and peaceful, but that comes with having no internet or satellite service (based on where you're parked). However, the sunset over the lake was well worth it. We were only there for a couple of nights on our way back home, would have loved to have more time here. Will return if future travels allow.

The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly! Met up with many old friends and made some new friends as well. The view of the lake is beautiful! The only complaint is that because there is no sewer hookup we needed to use the bath house for showers and the lower bath house is in much need of an update.

Only positive a pretty view once you walk half mile one way down hill to the lake. But you have to walk back up the step rocky road bank to your site that has no view. That's the case to do ANY thing. Walk half mile down hill then back up to site. All activities are lake side. Speaking of... More

It was pretty good. No Internet and no tv. Sites are hilly and roads are all dirt and gravel. 30 miles of country roads to get to it. Lake is pretty and campground has events going on. Limited sewer, but they come around and pump you out. All in all I'd say a "B".

No wifi was available entire stay, but other than that, I had a great stay. This was my first stay at Lake Gaston and my first Thousand Trails experience. I have to say I'm delighted with the Gaston property, and every single staff member I met was professional, greeted me with a smile, and tried to help in any way... More

Thank you for updated your campground to have sewerage sites. We will definitely pick one of those next time. We appreciate you trying to update your bathrooms, grounds and sites. Everything is looking good.A check in office at the front of the campground would be nice. Loved the park and all the employees were friendly and helpful. We will be... More

Good staff, great big lake, small beach, decent store that has a sometimes operating grill. Beautiful place. Will be coming back. One of the best Thousand Trails I have been at! I hate 200 words. It doesn't take 200 words all the time. Please change this ! Also, have campground questions instead of non applicable hotel questions. Like: Full hooks... More
