Nestled near the picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway, the Switzerland Inn has garnered acclaim for its exceptionally friendly staff and pristine cleanliness, with the well-maintained grounds and rooms often highlighted. Guests relish the cozy atmosphere and stunning views, though a few have noted that the value proposition could be better, with occasional concerns about room allocation and size. Despite some minor criticism regarding noise and bathroom dimensions, the hotel's amenities and ideal location continue to be a draw for those seeking a comfortable and scenic retreat.

Where the f*ck are the alps. I thought I was taking a cozy winter vacation to the Swiss Mountains. I soon realized the mountain men were nowhere to be found. This deeply saddened me. Th hotel smelled of the queens left pinky toe. Was not sigma. Would definitely return.

The food, ambience and service was outstanding! Our server Jody made our celebration so special and despite a busy evening she gave us very personal attention ! The Alaskan halibut was exquisite and the special cheese garlic nut spread was great on their bread as well!

Great place to relax. Very clean. Not your average run of the mill hotel More nostalgic.Staff is great. The food at the on site restaurants is awesome, something to satisfy anyone's taste, and the grill at the bottom of the hill is great also.

My wife and I had a 5 night stay at this hotel in early November. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and obliging and the scenery is beautiful. We used the restaurant for breakfast and dinner on each day and there was enough choice on the menu for us to have a good and different meal on each occasion, served by excellent waiting staff. The hotel is situated on the Blueridge parkway and if staying there we would recommend a trip to the Grandfather mountain about 40 minutes away. Some of the hotel facilities were closed down for the approach of winter but that did not detract from the overall enjoyment of our visit. From our home in Eastern Tennessee it is about an easy 3 hour drive and we will certainly return soon. Heartily recommended.

Always wonderful. Beautiful room options, great staff, great food, and so restful. It’s in one of the most beautiful spots you’ll ever see. We went there to relax from the hectic world and to sit and read. They also have a wonderful spa. We had a 2 hour massage. These ladies are fantastic.

Great spot. Great folks, great accommodations , pretty doggone good food and the most spectacular views of my mountains. Will definitely go back. Rooms are spacious and freshly clean. We came in off of 40 rather than spend our getaway riding the parkway. Very comfortable setting and the staff go above and beyond.

Friendly reception, lively pub area serving the same dishes as the restaurant, and more. The restaurant has gorgeous views. Breakfast is menu form with copious plates. Friendly service (as every where in the US, same objective). Rather expensive. Large rooms with (building C) small bathrooms. While in the midst of a nature park, the rooms are not quiet, due to AC and other noisy equipment in the rooms and outdoors (a coming thing in US hotels it seems).

Of course inns in remote areas can command a high price since it is a monopoly. So the price was high for the quality of the room. One thing that surprised us was that our suite didn't have a microwave. The views are superb and the grounds beautiful. The staff was very friendly. There is only one restaurant on property, The Chalet/The pub and our food was very good.

This was our second time here for lunch on the terrace. We actually drive an hour from where we stay just to eat on the terrace here. The views are incredible, and the food very good. Drinks are well-made. But it is the friendly staff (especially Stephanie) who really make it a place to come back to. We will absolutely be back again!
