Skyline Village Inn is located at Milepost 331 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, halfway between Asheville and Blowing Rock/Boone. Just 25 miles north of Mt. Mitchell and 25 miles south of Grandfather Mountain. The inn is perched high on top of the Blue Ridge and only 200 feet from the Parkway ramp at the NC226 exit. We have 16 comfortable, well designed rooms with a balcony that runs the length of the building overlooking the Catawba Valley and surrounding mountains, offering some of the best views in the country. Along with being pet friendly we have designated, covered, motorcycle parking for our touring friends.

This was our 4th or 5th visit to Skyline Village Inn. We stop there for 2 nights on our annual road trip to Nashville to see our daughter. We are always thrilled by the view from the balcony and enjoy the close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hiking at Linville Falls is our annual tradition. This year we were pleased to see the updates that the inn has made - new comfy beds and pillows, a bigger refrigerator, and some new furniture with an improved layout. We look forward to returning next year when the restaurant will be opened!

Amazing week here in our Premium Private Balcony King private room! Outstanding views directly off the Blue Ridge Pkwy, very dedicated & caring inn keepers (Desiree & Steve) they made u feel like family! This historical inn has been renovated but kept the historical touches that were important to us! Breakfast was very convenient in a common room which also doubles as a game/tv room! Located perfectly in the middle of the Blue Ridge Parkway! Spruce Pine is close by for either pub or better dining food options! We had a great time & highly recommend!

We stayed here while driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway and it is very conveniently located for that. This is a "mom and pop" type place that feels like stepping back in time. The owners were around and seem like very nice, hardworking folks. The room, though dated, was very clean and simply appointed. We stayed in probably the smallest room but it opened to the "deck" and has a great view of the mountains esp for the sunrise. The bed was comfy enough and the room had what we needed. I love the old wooden floors all throughout the building. The shower head is pretty low for anyone over 5'6" but it was decent enough. We really appreciated the game room which had a dart board and a pool table, some board games and tables and a tv. We took advantage of that area one evening and really enjoyed playing darts and pool. Apparently, the onsite restaurant is being renovated so they offered a free continental type breakfast which was really nice and unexpected. We enjoyed simple choices like instant oatmeal, fresh fruit and pre-packaged pastries along with selection of granola bars. Don't expect luxury here but if you want something unique, very clean, old school and convenient....this is a great place for that!

This is a vintage roadside inn, some has already been updated and more projects in the works. It is clear the owner and staff love this place. While dated, everything is CLEAN. No dust bunnies, spider webs, or crumbs to be seen. Beds, linens and towels all look fresh and new. Very nice continental bfast. Will definitely return, especially when new restaurant opens! They do have parking and charging for Ecars...

Comfortable bed. Nice balcony to view the Blue Ridge Mountains. A couple of negatives. No drain plug for the bathtub. The coffee maker wasn't working. Needs a designated smoking area. The balcony was unusable with the chain smoker two rooms over.

This is a very old facility. The bathroom was so small that the sink was located in the bedroom with no counter space. The toilet was so small it’s almost impossible to take care of number one and two at the same time. Disgusting. The tub bottom was very slippery with nothing to place inside for traction. At 77 years old I was very concerned about my wife falling. No ice machine and breakfast not worth staying for.

We are very sorry that our facility did not meet your expectations. We are a 1940's historical inn with some rooms that are more compact, we also have many rooms that would better suit your needs, ie, larger square footage, additional counter space and walk in showers. If you would have communicated with staff upon pre-booking or while on site, we would have done our best to accommodate your needs. Our restaurant is currently under renovations and during this time we are offering a complimentary continental breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, oatmeal, breakfast bars, bagels, pastry, coffee, tea and juice. We also provide bags of ice upon request. Thank you for your feedback.

going to this inn felt like i visited a relative that i really really like and miss. please don’t let the dated exterior deter you… the managers are so friendly and nice, the rooms are clean, beds are comfy, water runs well and you are near many attractions in the blue ridge park and little switzerland area. oh and super safe, i left our room unlocked by mistake and everything was still there and in order.
