I can't say enough good things about this place. It was awesome! The host and hostess, Ken & Glenda, were just wonderful people. Made us feel so welcome and were extremely helpful. The house is Amazingly gorgeous, with a fantastic view! Our suite had a marvelously comfortable bed, a bathroom to die for, a fireplace, a sitting room, a balcony and big windows with an incredible mountain valley view. We went out on the balcony in the mornings and listened to the cows Mooing, watched the goats and listened to birds everywhere. So beautiful. The lodge is close enough to town to easily enjoy shopping and attend events, but still far enough away from the hub to be relaxing. The family pets were a delight. We will definitely return.
Wildberry Lodge gives you the best of all worlds. It is located in a quiet and peaceful mountain valley with stunning views and is very close to I 40 so you can get to Asheville or Waynesville, NC within minutes. Ken and Glenda are wonderful hosts, the facility is beautiful, the food is delicious and the setting is second to none. You are close to everything Western North Carolina has to offer--great restaurants and breweries, amazing hiking trails, shopping, Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway. You can experience all of those things during the day and then retreat to the Wildberry Lodge to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. I highly recommend this lodge.
First, let me tell you how gorgeous this place is!! Beautiful views of mountainside and surrounding farm. Glenda and Ken are genuine and amazing hosts, breakfast was second to none. Cant wait to visit again when the time permits. Outdoor hot tub, outdoor fire pit and very secluded/private. Hands down LOVED IT!!!!
I brought my now fiance to Wildberry Lodge with the express purpose of asking her to marry me. We genuinely had an amazing time, the room far outweighs expectations, and the owners are fantastic. We will be returning on our next trip to Asheville.
The Wildberry Lodge, and it's hosts Glenda and Ken, are OUTSTANDING! It's a beautiful lodge, with equally as beautiful rooms. And the views are, well, beautiful. This is a great place to relax and decompress in a warm, welcoming and casual atmosphere, but Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway are just minutes away, so there are plenty of things to do, as well. We will DEFINITELY be back!
