This is a eatery catering to motorcycle riders however hikers and other travelers enjoy stopping in too. It's especially busy on the weekends. Biker bar atmosphere with good food. Typical bar food but better than average bar food. The chicken philly steak sandwich is very good. All the salads are good too. I don't eat beef but several of my...

I've stayed here a couple times and a couple days at a time. I always look forward into making it here, it's dated but clean. The kitchen is good food and employees were kind. The worst case was the loud drunks next door whom I had to quite down but I don't think they will ever be back according to...

I read the reviews about this being a great place for motorcyclist. So since I have been riding since 1968 I figured what the hell I would check it out. My first impression was that the staff was very friendly and nice. Then we were told that we would be staying in a little house across the road. The first...

Motorcycle trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this motel is about 100 yards off the exit, popular with bikers but not the scary kind. Rooms are small but clean and surprisingly modern. The bathroom is small (go in backwards) with no counter space and only a shower stall, no tub but everything is functional for a one night stay. Park your...

My second time staying at Freebornes. If you love the riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, which I do, you need to make this a place to stop. The rooms are very nice, very clean, and you back your bike right outside your door. Very cool. But the really special thing is the food at Freebornes. It's that good. Just stayed...

what a great motel. from a motel where bikers stay you wouldn't expect any comfort. but it was very nice. The room was beautifully furnished with a large comfortable bed and more noteworthy, it was very clean. And I stayed in 5 star hotels which have not reached that. and because we got on the way with our bikes in...

A very friendly motorcycle motel and eatery! The beds in a lot of rooms were changed to kings and very comfortable. Always clean!!! The food is wonderful, especially the wings!!! They have fantastic homemade desserts and if you are there for breakfast you can not beat the price!

This was our second time here the atmosphere is great. Plenty of parking for motorcycles. The food was great and the waitstaff was awesome. They are wright off of the parkway making it easy to get to. There is a little gas station 3 miles down the road to get conventional gas for the bikes.

We make a trip down here every year to ride through the great roads and relax. The accommodations are basic with bed and shower. The staff at the restaurant especially Jasper and Amber are Rock Stars! Be sure not to miss the Jail and Wedding Chapel across the street. We will be back again next year!

The rooms were booked this weekend, but we stayed close. We were able to enjoy the restaurant and entertainment here even though we didn't stay. There was a band Sat night from DC that was a blast! We had ribeye, potatoes, salad on Saturday night and it was cooked just right! So many bikes and activities it almost feels like...

“The walls are a bit thin; someone next door was watching TV all night and the campground behind the motel was a bit rowdy with fireworks. However, I was so tired, I never heard any of it! My husband did not sleep well, but had so much fun with other bikers, we could over look it.”
