The people who work here have to be the most generous, dedicated folks I've ever had the pleasure to meet. It may sound cliche but everyone at Skyterra REALLY cares about you, your well-being, your progress, and your ability to take home the abundant knowledge they so enthusiastically share. The employees, the meals, and the accomodations are all above and beyond! I promise that if you are open and anxious to feel better, to see everything with a more confident and grateful spirit, this is the place for you!
Skyterra was an answer to my prayers. I was grieving, had gained weight and lost my motivation to do anything but eat and sleep. I didn't feel good. I didn't feel like myself so I threw myself a lifeline and I took the plunge and signed up for the losesmart program. This package was unbelievable. A private cottage, 3 meals a day, grief counseling, personalized fitness plan, personalized nutrition plan, amazing staff who are non judgmental, supportive and just kind. This place is amazing. Not only did being there help lift me up it exposed me to so many firsts like, kayaking, pickle ball, hiking, and paddle boarding. I never would have done any of these activities anywhere, but the staff is confident, knowledgeable and capable. I felt safe. I am now home and gradually…
I went to Skyterra wanting to have a vacation that challenged me physically and didn't cause me to gain weight (as generally happens when you are eating 3 delicious meals a day that someone else cooked). What I didn't anticipate was what ended up being the best part of the experience: the friendships I would make, with both the other guests and the staff...what a bonus! I only could carve out a week stay (I would highly recommend 2 weeks so you can enjoy working out without sore muscles), but was still able to fit in hiking, archery, kayaking, pickleball, tennis, Yahtzee, crafts, yoga, a massage from the very talented Jennifer, SUP, campfire, classes on nutrition and so much more, and really fun cardio and weight-lifting classes, aka "Adult Camp". I also toured the fantastic new…
This is life changing, no joke. The landscape and weather was stunning. The food was top notch, the staff were the best of the best. I was looking to get away from alcohol for a while, while also trying to regain some fitness goals, relax, and drop a few pounds. I was only there for a week and actually lost 5 pounds. A typical day looks like this: wake up, go to breakfast, look at your daily calendar and decide which of many activities you are feeling like doing that day, stretching class, yoga, a boot camp type class, hiking, paddle boarding, water aerobics, etc. lunch, more activities, or do nothing at all, dinner and then get a massage or just relax. The houses and cottages you stay at are amazing and so peaceful. I was in a house with two other women, who were…
When I arrived after nursing my Mom for dementia, I had vertigo, I was weak as a kitten, and had to use canes to walk. They started me on a mild program with use of the salt water pool and personal training sessions that got me on my feet and bridged the gap between physical therapy and mobility. I stayed for 2 weeks and then decided to rebook for 3 months. At the end of that time, my trainer (Jeff) improved my strength and had me participating in pool volleyball. I took advantage of multiple therapy sessions during my time to help me deal with the grief and my Mom's death. I have made friends with their entire team and the lead housekeeper (Misty) was my exercise buddy here in there in the very beginning. Overall, their concern for after I left was touching. Everyone texts…
