Thank you to Kim and Rich, the owners, for a memorable anniversary with family. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was really good, and the boat taxi was the high light of our trip. Lake Lure is located within walking distance as well. We had two rooms for 2 nights. Our dog, Maggie had a dog friendly room. I highly recommend this B&B!

My wife and I spent Memorial day weekend here and we were not disappointed. Kim and Richard the owners/hosts make sure to go out of their way to make sure everything is good. Our room was small but had everything we needed including a small fridge, microwave, electric fireplace, television, bed with memory foam top for extra comfort. The lodge is just a little ways out of Chimney Rock so your out of the way of the bustling crowds. The property has loads of pretty flowers and a gazebo that we really enjoyed doing morning devotions. the gazebo also has a fireplace/pit and nice comfortable chairs to sit in. Even saw hummingbirds while there. Breakfast is included and it is amazing. Richard is a chef and good one at that. The first morning he made pancakes I believe in a skillet with whipped cream strawberries and blueberries which was really good(and I don't like pancakes). Kim also gives out small shots of green juice as a healthy way to start the day. Lots of good conversation around the table. This place is a great way to getaway and get that extra touch you probably won't get at a hotel. Definitely recommended by my wife and I!!

We stayed in "the cottage" for two nights with our Westies, and overall we were quite pleased with our stay. These are nice people who are doing their very best, and the cottage was a renovated 1930s house. It was a bit spendy for someplace so small (one bedroom with a double bed, one "alcove" with a single bed), but the kitchen was to die for, the bathroom was great, and the location was most pleasant. Some of the renovations needed a bit more work, i.e., some of the windows didn't open properly, which is important for that lovely mountain air, and for this somewhat disabled person, some of the stoops were difficult to negotiate, but I gather we were among the first to book the cottage, so it probably still needs some work. The owners are pleasant, chatty people, and they have worked hard to make the atmosphere a nice one. We were glad to find such a nice place where we could have our dogs, since so many hotels offer substandard rooms for pet-owners. For the season, the price was pretty high, over $200 per night, including tax and pet fees.

This was a very nice place to stay. My wife was able to get last minute reservation for our 28th anniversary . We checked in with the owners, they are very nice and friendly people that have a lot of knowledge about the local area. The B&B is a house with 7 rooms. Our room was very clean, hardwood floors with an area rug, beds are comfortable, flat screen tv with Dish network as the service provider, DVD player for your favorite movie, an electric fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, a nice shower, no tub. The common areas was a nice deck with table and chairs, outside our room. Out beside the house is a nice covered area with a fire pit that already had wood in it ready to be lit. The breakfast area is down stairs in the kitchen. The owner cooked us breakfast, it was delicious! This is where we met other couples that stayed the night. We highly recommend this B&B to stay at when you are visiting Lake Lure.
