This is a resort that only has 46 spaces and they have enough size and landscaping to afford a quiet and lovely stay. Because they only allow newer Class A coaches that are 33 feet or longer, Cousin Eddy types are not here. The people we did meet there are very friendly. If you are looking for a pool filled with little kids or trailers right next to you with TVs blaring, this is not your spot. If you are looking for beauty and peace and quiet, look no further. We loved it so much that we will likely be buying a lot in the park. These are owner owned lots, but some do rent them out. Do pay attention to the route they tell you to drive in on, it isn't too bad, but the other route could give you a bad day. There is no pool, but you do have access to Rumbling Bald Resort's amenities and that includes their beach on Lake Lure. The nice part of that is that all of the screaming kids are out of hearing range of the RV resort because it is a short drive to get there. We will be back!!!

Stayed here 5 times over the past 5 years and really love this resort. Very nicely landscaped and they maintain the property to a very high level. Small resort with only 46 sites, very cozy. Wifi is spotty but we bring our own service so not a problem for us. Only other downside is no cable tv. Lots of stuff to do nearby, Hendersonville is only 30 minutes away,Asheville about 40 minutes. It really is as pretty as the pictures on the website show. Oh, and full access to the Rumbling Bald resort amenities.

My husband and I came to Lake Lure via Smoky Mountains from Knoxville. We ride his gold wing through the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoyed beautiful view. Arrived at Apple Valley Villas at 7 pm. We stayed here because the Rumbling Bald would not allowed motorcycles passed their security gate. We are attending a wedding there tonight. Our condo (#3) faces a noisy highway. Otherwise the place is nice for overnight accommodations. We are in a studio with a nice Kitchenette. Nice back porch (minus the road noise). Two nights minimum stay. The place is well stock with hair dryer, shampoo, coffee maker, toaster oven, stove, dishwasher.

Can't really call this camping, landscaped RV sites with patio, decks, fireplaces and beautiful views. You get full access to the Rumbling Bald Resort including the pools and beach on Lake Lure. One catch, you motor home must be 32' & up and it must be a diesel pusher. Very quiet sites surround a small man made lake. The only complaint we had was the water pressure was very low one of the patio chairs was not useable.
