My husband and I spent a week at The Inn, August 22-29th and it was absolutely wonderful. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for years and always rented a house or condominium with our family. This year we came solo and really didn’t want a condo or hotel room. My husband found the Cypress House B&B and so happy he did! Our host, Bill was just so very helpful and friendly which helped to make our stay even more pleasant. Bill provides great dining tips too. Our room was spotless, well appointed with amenities such as hair dryer, shampoo, soaps, fresh towels and linen, refrigerator and TV. House is very quiet and the Cypress wood paneling is beautiful. Beach chairs and beach towels are also available. There is an outdoor shower too. Additionally the breakfasts are excellent! Everyday is a different breakfast entree; excellent fresh fruit to start the meal followed by an egg dish or French toast, or pancakes. The house is close to the beach and conveniently located to restaurants etc. our stay was just wonderful and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our time at The Inn. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I stayed here one night - unfortunately not longer. The entire Inn is so peaceful, welcoming and that perfect beach atmosphere. Our room was very nice. It was 100% quiet, super comfortable, very clean and felt like home. The bathroom was painted a beautiful blue and had pretty fixtures and all the creature comforts one needs. Loved the room spray and the personalized glycerine soap. I wish I’d have taken it after we showered. The inn keeper was an integral part of what made our stay delightful. I felt I had made a friend and/or that I was visiting family. I have the utmost respect for how he conducts himself. I also loved being able to borrow beach umbrellas. A huge plus! Chairs and towels too. It was also great to have a shower complete with hot water in the back yard to wash off all that sand before coming into the house. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and lovingly prepared. This place really touched my heart. I was truly sad to leave. It was just what I needed at a tough time.

The owner was a great source of local information, history, and helpful tips. The house is full of character and the supplied amenities - bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas - made our stay even more fun and enjoyable. The breakfast was awesome and the location is perfect - walking distance to the beach, close to so many things, and quiet at night.

This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and had no idea where to stay but after looking at many hotels & Inns we came across this one and were very happy we did. It is a very cozy place and Veda & Bill were great hosts to all staying there. The house was originally a hunting lodge but was redone inside keeping with the history of the house. It consists of 5 very nicely done rooms with a coffee bar set up in the hallway outside the bedrooms whish you can get a fresh cup anytime you want. We had a delicious breakfast every morning made fresh when we came downstairs. There is a lovely porch where you can bring your coffee or a glass of wine and just enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of the waves from the beach which is only a short walk away. The Inn provides beach chairs & towels too! If you are looking for someplace different to stay instead of a hotel this is the place to go. We definitely will go back there next time we are in that area.

This is a true gem in the Outer Banks! It had been 9 years since my husband and I were able to get away by ourselves for a weekend and we had a beautiful and relaxing weekend at the Cypress House. This is a beautiful home with all the amenities and gracious hosts. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and we loved having coffee and tea service right outside our door. The breakfasts were delicious, as we sat outside on the porch one morning. Mr and Mrs Peters were available to offer suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area. We were steps away from the beach and they provided the chairs, towels and umbrella. I’ve never packed so lightly or effortlessly for the beach! There are nice hotels in the OBX, but this is above and beyond a hotel stay. This is a relaxing beach experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We were exceptionally pleased with the atmosphere and hospitality of the owners and their family. We greatly enjoyed the rooms and comfort of the beds. We also appreciated the breakfast served by Bill and his wife during our stay. He graciously accommodated our requests and allowed us to borrow beach chairs during our visit. I reported a broken coat hanger from our closet (I was a little too rough in hanging a garment) but Bill was not accepting of my offer to pay for it. Not only did we enjoy our sleeping arrangements, but we enjoyed the conversation we had with Bill during our breakfasts. The accommodations make a world of difference with the peace one experiences during a vacation. I will definitely recommend and perhaps book another stay with Bill and his family. Thank you so much for your hospitality and attentiveness.

This was the best find on my entire honeymoon! Staff was wonderful and owners were a great source of information on nearby attractions and eateries. They keep beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas for anyones use which was very thoughtful! And you cant beat their fresh homemade breakfasts. We will definitely return 😁

Veda and Bill of Cypress House Inn provide the most peaceful and accommodating bed and breakfast stay. They have updated a beautiful historic property with utmost class and the most subtle touch of beach kitsch. Each morning they provide an artful breakfast, served in vintage glassware, along with great conversation to start your day. If breakfast isn’t your thing they also have an extensive coffee bar. The tasteful rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and amazing showers. They offer free use of plush towels and Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrellas to take on the minute long walk to the beach. Because of their attention to detail my weekend with friends was like a deep exhale- everything was so charming and easy. Thank you Veda and Bill for your generosity. I will be back again and again.

For our first stay in OBX we chose the Cypress Inn B&B and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Bill and Veda are gracious, knowledgeable hosts. Their Inn is clean, cozy and comfortable with many areas to relax, including your room, the living and dining area and lots of outdoor space on the veranda and in the yard. It's across the street from the beach and they provide beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. The breakfasts are fresh and artfully prepared by Veda and Bill and they make the effort to visit with their guests and get to know you. The B&B is centrally located close to many sights and Bill and Veda made many useful recommendations for places to eat and visit. The decor is warm and inviting and very beachy with all the rich cypress wood. Our trip to OBX was made more memorable with our stay at Cypress House . We highly recommend this location to all who want a more personal and cozy stay in OBX. Thank you Bill and Veda.

The Cypress House Inn was just what my fiance and I wanted in a brief, weekend getaway. We wish we could have stayed a few more days. Accomodations were clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and healthy. The location was convenient to the beach - just across the street a few steps away. Our hosts were gracious and always ready to serve and provide recommendations and assistance with restaurants, bike trails, travel routes, and any other questions. We look forward to another trip to the Outer Banks soon and plan to stay at the Cypress House Inn again.

Thanks for your inquiry. We do have a resident dog, but unfortunately, we are unable to allow pets in the rooms. We do have some houses that we manage that allow partial weeks and are pet friendly. They are listed on our website or you can call/text and I would be happy to assist you. 252-441-6127 Veda

Yes it has great breakfasts, fixed by Bill, who owns the B&B with his wife, Veda! Take their suggestions for dinner and other things, they have the best locations It's location is great for beach and food/shopping! If you're looking for the "hotel" atmosphere, this isn't it! Try the afternoon cookies, delicious. We are going down on September for 4 days and staying there again'

We certainly enjoyed the Cypress House B&B. As the other person said it is across the street from the ocean. I don't know of any B&Bs that are closer. It was our first visit to the Outer Banks.
